You have chose Antonio to lead the meeting. Please provide your reasoning.
Why is it important to have Antonio lead this meeting?

Type your answer here... University of Phoenix 3 I feel it is important to have Antonio lead this meeting because Antonio had a previous problem in the past and might have learned how he would like to now become a leader. I feel that Antonio has leadership potential and some of the problems that are arising on the team are at a lower level basis and should be handled within. Some risks include some of the other team members not being receptive to Antonio because of his title of field agent and also his prior problems with the group. The group cohesion is a concern and having Antonio lead this meeting could have an even more negative impact on the group.
Please provide your reasons for choosing to move Antonio to the Lead Agent Position.
What are the benefits and risks associated with this decision?
How do you think the team will react to this decision?
What are the qualities of an effective team leader?
How has Antonio displayed those qualities?
Type your answer here... Some risks associated with moving Antonio to team leader will be the impact perception it has on the other team members. The team members might see this as a strategy to get a different position in the organization. The team might be more receptive to Antonio as a Lead agent rather than a Field specialist. Some qualities of an effective team leader are communication, organization, fairness and confidence. Another benefit of the negotiation is that the team members will be more willing to bargain if they see they will be no worse off than they started. A benefit of the mediation technique is that a third party mediator coming in and not having a University of Phoenix 4 personal relationship with any of the team members. Another benefit of the mediation technique is if the team is unable to come to a decision then the mediator will come up with a solution that best fits the needs of the team.
