Thanks for picking up this Time Credit
brochure, it will tell you what Time Credits
are, how you can earn them, and how you can
spend them.
You might not have realised, but Time Credits
are being earned and spent all over the
country. Youre now part of a network of over
13,000 people and hundreds of organisations
who give their time to their community.
Welcome to the team.
Here in West Norfolk, nearly 30,000 Time
Credits have been earned already, and 51
groups and organisations are involved. You
can join in too, in a way that suits you. Have a
look on The Team page to fnd out how.
We should probably introduce ourselves-
were Spice. We work with people in your
area to support Time Credits. Its very nice to

How Time Credits work
We all need a little help sometimes, for lots
of diferent things. Our communities are no
diferent, and this is where Time credits
come in.
If you give an hour of your time to your community, your
community will say thank you by giving you an hour
back to spend on something you like to do.
Everyones hour is worth the same and everyone
gets thanked. Theres no limit to how many credits
you can earn, and the more you earn the more you
can spend.
Time Credits never expire and they dont cost any money.
There are lots of ways to earn Time Credits across your
community, and hundreds of ways to spend them across
the country. You can earn and spend in a way that suits
you. Why? Because everyone has something to give, and
ultimately, because a bit of time together makes all the
diference.
Carers or support workers are given free entry with anyone
who has earned Time Credits and needs a bit of extra
assistance. If you or someone you know or support have
any specifc accessibility needs, please call our friendly
partners before visiting, theyll be happy to help.
All the great ways to spend your Time Credits you see in this brochure are provided by
businesses, councils and community groups. They do not receive any payment for providing these
opportunities. We think youll agree thats rather nice of them, so let them know if you enjoyed their
activity, and feel free to tell them how you earned your credits. If you have problems with any of the
opportunities listed, get in touch with us straight away so we can chat to these helpful partners of
ours and iron things out.

About the Partner
Kings Lynn Child Contact Centre is run
entirely by volunteers who share the belief
that children should be able to have a
continuous relationship with both parents
(unless in cases of severe risk), thus seek to
provide an opportunity for this to take place.
They accept referrals from the family courts,
CAFCASS, social workers, solicitors and
mediation agencies. Individuals can also
use Time Credits to self refer.

Access to a family contact session
Sessions take place on the
2nd and 4th Saturday of each
month between 10am to 1pm.
To access the service please
complete a referral form
(available on the website)
and email it to klynnccc@
gmail.com; assistance is
available on request. You
will then be invited to attend
a follow-up session and if
your application is a success,
your family will be invited to a
session.

About the Partner
Cycle Together is an inclusive series of open
road cycling sportives (of 10, 20, 50 and 100
mile distances) for cyclists of all ages and
abilities. This years Cycle Together event at
Sandringham will take place on Sunday 13th
July. Frequent refreshments are provided
for participants, with feeding stations at
regular intervals. Safety marshals, on-course
mechanics, frst aid and tips/guidance are
provided on all routes.

About the Partner
Hunstanton has a wealth of outdoor activities to keep your family occupied
during a trip to the seaside. Whether you fancy yourself as a bit of a golfer or
are looking for an activity the whole family can enjoy together then we have
something for you.
These facilities are open daily (10am to 4pm) from 1st April to 30th September.
Weekends only throughout October. Free parking for patrons is available at the
Pitch and Putt Course only.
This Crazy Golf facility is located within the Esplanade Gardens along the
towns North Promenade. Time Credits cannot be used at Black Beards
Adventure Golf (which is located next to the Sea Life Sanctuary).

About the trip
Explore the countrys fnest collection of
steam traction engines and get up close and
personal with these magnifcent machines
of yesteryear. Members of all ages will
enjoy hearing Robert Wolfe play the mighty
Wurlitzer and love the magic of the carousel.
The Venetian Gondola ride is also a
wonderful experience for the whole family
to enjoy together. Thursford hosts an olde
worlde shopping village and fantastic play

Eastern Savings and Loans (formerly Norfolk
Credit Union) is a fnancial co-operative
owned and democratically controlled by its
members. It ofers savings and loans, and
is regulated by the Prudential Regulation
Authority. Savings are protected by the
Financial Services Compensation Scheme,
just like in banks and building societies.

About the trip
The trip ofers coach travel to and from
Kings Lynn or Downham Market and
Great Yarmouth. The coach will pick up
passengers in Downham Market at 9.40am
and in Kings Lynn at 10am. It will arrive
in the centre of Great Yarmouth at around
11.30am. Members can then enjoy the
beach, fun fair and other attractions (entry
fees not included) that the resort has to ofer
before leaving for home at 4.30pm.

Sandringham
How do I earn Time Credits there?
Cycle Together is an inclusive series
of open road cycling sportives (of 10,
20, 50 and 100 mile distances) for
cyclists of all ages and abilities. This
years Sandringham cycle ride takes
place on Sunday 13th July 2014
and the Leonard Cheshire Disability
events team need volunteers from
early morning until mid-afternoon
based at Park House Hotel,
Sandringham. The roles will include
welcoming participants, handing
out goody bags and assisting with
the disabled guests who stay at the
care home. We welcome volunteers
of any age and so to ofer your time
to help at the event please email

How do I earn Time Credits there?
The West Norfolk Time Credits
programme is proud to be
supporting the 2014 Grand East
Anglia Run. This years 10km road
race takes place in Kings Lynn town
centre on Sunday 4th May. If running
isnt your thing but you are a keen
sports person or a local resident
who would like to give your time
but struggle to commit to regular
volunteering activities, GEAR is
the perfect opportunity for you to
support your local community and
get thanked with Time Credits for
doing so!
With lots of opportunities and
positions to fll including: race and
crowd control marshals; information
point advisors, manning the water
stations and helping assist with the
medal ceremonies you dont have to
be a runner to get involved.
Volunteers will be required to assist
for the full duration of the event and
will need to report to the Kings Lynn
Corn Exchange at 8.30am on the
morning of the race. Marshals will
also be well-briefed, supplied with
a high-vis tabard, and led by an
experienced Marshal Co-ordinator.
