Establishing an English Course

1. Market
I am going to establish my English course beside SMP N 1 Ulujami, Pemalang. I
choose that place because such English course hasnt been existed in Ulujami subdistrict yet,
and the SMP are surrounded by some others school with the same level, some elementary
school, and also senior high school. It has strategic location in which it is located near the
main road of Pantura so that many people will pass the SMP first if they want to go to
anywhere. Moreover its also not so far from villages that are spread along the Ulujami
subdistrict.
From the locations above the appropriate method used in knowing customers need
is that by using questionnaire. It can be distributed to students who are going to school in
the morning, and took it back later when they go home after the classes are over on the next
day.

The type of the course I establish is that English for Academic Purposes

I will use curriculum and syllabus from curriculum 2013 that is applied for every school in
Indonesia nowadays

The Mechanism of Proposing the License

1. Take the application for the course to Diknas
2. Create the proposal containing course institutional profile
3. Request the document information of domicile to the local village and sub-district known by
both of them
4. Request a letter of recommendation to the sub-district office of Technical Implementation
Unit (UPTD)
5. Submit the proposal and the license application to the department office
6. Preparing for visitation to be surveyed that is whether feasible or not the course will be
given permission
7. Waiting for the eligibility process to obtain a certification/a license
8. Take the finished license certificate to the department office
