Birth Time Rectification with Krishnamurti Paddhati

1. What is Birth of a human being?
The answer to this can be fully understood when we understand what is death. Death is the withdrawal of
life forcePrana Vayuaway from the body and that is Mrityu. Only then the Soul is able to transmigrate.
Therefore, birth is the first breath of this world that is taken by the childJanma. Way back in 1901, Dr,
William Benham in the United States wrote in his book The Laws of Scientific Hand-Reading that life begins
after a child takes in her first breath and cries out. This is the time that will give maximum correct predictions
if used for making a birth horoscope.

2. Why does a human being born in this world?
To continue the unfinished work from previous birth and fulfil the unfulfilled desires of previous birth. The
time of birth in the current life is equal to the quantity and quality of past birth deedsboth good and bad
known as Karmafal. So, the human being takes birth in this world at a time when the planets are in perfect
configuration with this Karmafal. The unique planetary configuration of the horoscope tells us the real reason
as to why a person is born in this world. The correct planetary configuration comes from knowing the correct
birth time---the time of taking the first breath of this world.

3. Should all birth time given to an astrologer be checked first?
Not at all. Let the Karma prevail. There is no need for suo moto mandatory checking of birth time for every
case that is received. Verifying birth time is necessary if the client mentions anomaly or requests for
verification. What is necessary is the checking of the correct sub lord of the house under question. Many KP
practitioners whimsically change the sublords of any house cusp to suit their interpretation without
understanding the mathematical underpinning of the Placidus house division. This is doubly detrimental
because they are not only changing the house cuspal sublord of single cusp but they also do not make the
corresponding cuspal sublord change in the opposite house.

4. Why Ruling Planets are the best guide?
The RPs are the Divine indicators that are present with you as messengers of God when you are truthful,
honest and pure at heart. It is for this reason that many KP practitioners do get the divinity inside the RPs even
though all the 4 RPs are always present. Such RPs will arrive as mere planets and not Divine indicators. Late
Kuthur Subbarayaiyer Krishnamurti ji (KSK) said very clearly that RP means the planet that rules the time of
judgment of the astrologer. This simply means that RP is meant for the astrologer himself and not the client.
RP is an indicator whether the astrologer is on the right track. It is an indicator of whether the time is right for
the astrologer to take up the chart. Finally, it is also a divine mean by which the astrologer will be able to
resolve his own confusion and doubts.

5. The wrong method to rectify birth timeBEWARE!!
The time comes first and then the planetary position. It is not the other way round. We are sometimes
suggested that in order to rectify a birth time, we must first fix the natal Moon position with the help of RP
Ascendant. This means that we are suggested to fix a planetary position first --- be it Moon or any other
planet. We must bear in mind that unless we get a corrected birth time, we cannot pitch upon the planetary
positions. The basis of planetary position is the given birth time. So, planetary positions are derivatives of
the birth time and not the other way round. Changing the natal Moon first is therefore, not the first logical
step in birth time rectification procedure. How can we arrive at the natal Moon position when we are unsure
of the time that gives rise to various planetary positionis a question that requires serious attention. The
logical first step in birth time rectification would be to first arrive at the correct Ascendant, which would show
us the corrected birth time, and with this corrected birth time we need to embark upon finding the true
planetary positionbe it Moon or any other planets.

7. How to check and correct the birth Ascendant?


Late K.S. Krishnamurti gave the most effective and simple rule to check for accuracy in birth time. The birth
Lagna/Ascendant Sign-Star-Sub lords should be present in the Ruling Planets. I saw the same thing done in
front of me and subsequently explained to me by the eldest son of late KSKlate K. Ganapathiat his
daughters residence in CCMB Quarters in Nacharam, Hyderabad in 2007.
If the birth Lagna sign-star and sub is present in the RPs (4 Basic RPs), then there is no need for any
rectification. Birth time is correct. There is no need for any undue suspicion. Trust God with whatever
he has presented you. That is His plan.
If any of the birth Lagna sign or star or sub is not present in the RPs, then see at what level it is absent:
sub level or star level or sign level. See whether RPs have made connections with the missing link in the
RP chart. In 99% of correct birth time, missing Lagna parameters are found to have established direct
or indirect connection with the RPs. In cases of reportedly correct birth time, the actual variation is
within 2-4 minutes and affects at most 1 or two subs of Ketu or Sun or Mars across all the 12 cusps.

8. What to do when your client openly says that his birth time is not correct?
Firstly find out what is the range of discrepancy. This can be as below:
1. Year of birth not known.
2. Confusion with year of birth
3. Year and month of birth not known
4. Birth during War time.
5. Small time range confusion in birth time
6. Big time range confusion in birth time
7. Confusion over Two Lagnas/Ascendant
Secondly, conduct a full and proper birth time rectification procedure using the KP system of astrology. The
applications are different depending upon which one of the above is the fault. We need to establish a linkage
with the RP Moon sign-star-sub with the unrectified Ascendant sign-star-sub AT ALL THE THREE LEVELS.
Stated otherwise, in order to rectify the birth time, we need to check whether the RP Moon signlord is linked
to the unrectified Ascendant signlord, RP Moon starlord linked to the unrectified Ascendant starlord and RP
Moon sublord linked with the unrectified Ascendant sublord. This rule is therefore, a rule of THREE LEVEL
ONE-TO-ONE LINKAGE. Let us now understand what constitutes a linkage. For the purpose of birth time
rectification let us assume the following notations.
Ascendant sign lord: X1 Ruling Moons sign lord: Z1
Ascendant star lord: X2 Ruling Moons star lord : Z2
Ascendant sub lord : X3 Ruling Moons sub lord : Z3
According to this method of birth time rectification, we need to first check the linkage between X1 and Z1 to
ascertain whether the birth sign is correct or not. If there is no linkage between X1 and Z1, then we need to do
rectification at this level first. For this we use the Basic RPs. Once this level is rectified, we need to check
whether there is any linkage between X2 and Z2 to find the correct ascendant star. If there is no linkage, then
we rectify the time at his level again with the help of Basic RPs. Lastly, we need to check whether there is
linkage between X3 and Z3 to find out whether the lagna sub is correct according to the given time. If no
linkage exists, then we need to increase or decrease the birth time till such sub-level linkage is obtained.
Linkage is said to be present directly if anyone of the following conditions are observed.
1. X and Z is same
2. X is in sub of Z or vice versa
3. X is in star of Z or vice versa
4. X is in the sign of Z or vice versa
5. X is in the star/sub of a third planet that appears as the Starlord or sublord of Z
The above rule for linkage is to be applied for ALL THE THREE LEVELS, that is, at the sign, star, and the sub level
for creating linkage between the Ascendant and RP Moon if such linkage is absent in the given birth time.

9. How do you know that the rectified birth time is indeed correct?
One simple way is to check past events of life through matching with the DBA. But Dasa will include all events,
Bhukti will contain many events and Anthra will contain quite a lot of events. Think of a DBA life Sat-Rah-Ven
continuing for 5 months 21 days. Scores of events will happengetting married, deadly accident, loss of
money and hospitalization, fathers success in appeal etc, mother getting her paternal legacy. Which one will
you tell your client? Therefore, what is required is a re-check whether the rectified birth time is in fact
correct or not. For this, I have been enlightened by the grace of Lord Ganesha with a Rule which I call as the
Rule of Origin. The According to the classical texts of astrology, the birth of a native happens due to his past
Karma, Purva Punya (good deeds in past life) and the father (who is the giver of the Beeja). The mother is only
a bearer of the child (Kshetra) but the seed of life comes from the father. Thus, the 9
th
house of a birth chart
shows the quality of antecedents of a native. So, if the rectified time of birth is truly correct, then the
Ascendant/Lagna must be linked with the 9
th
cusp. Why father? As Vishnu Purana says, a man can control
when to release his seed, but a woman cannot control when to release her seed. Every 24-28 days a woman
releases her seed without her will but a man releases his seed only when he so desires. Man is the Beeja,
woman is the Khetra. Soul travels from one life to another through the seed of the man in a strange spiritual
ways as enunciated in Vamachara Tantric methods. Man creates life outside his body. Woman creates life
within her body. Out of millions of sperm cells only one unites with an ovum where the Rinanubandhana is the
highest. The Soul enters into the man with his breath and travels to the womb in the form of sperm cell that
finally unites and life is formed based on Karmafal.
