1. Teacher divides the class into 5 groups. 2. Students will have to rearrange the picture cards according to the sequence of the story. 3. Teacher will then discuss the correct answer. 4. Teacher distributes worksheet (Appendix 1) for the students to fill in the blanks.

Post writing +/- 20 minutes The alternate ending: Jack climbs up and up the beanstalk. Finally, he sees a castle and goes inside. A huge giant smells Jack. FEE FI FO FUM! Here I come, bad boy, YUM YUM! Jack jumps inside a cupboard. The giant cant see him. The harp plays some music and the giant falls asleep. Jack jumps out of the cupboard and takes the gold coins. Jack takes the hen. Jack takes the harp and runs out of the castle. The harp shouts Help! and the giant chases Jack. Jack climbs down the beanstalk. Jack shouts Help! His Mum runs to the beanstalk and chops it down. The giant falls down, ARGHHH!!!! Jack and his Mum never see him again and live happily ever after! 1. Students role play Jack and the beanstalk story with the alternate ending 2. Teacher also discuss with the students which ending they like the best. Teaching Aids: - Manila cards. . Closure 1. Teacher distributes the maze worksheet. (Refer to Appendix 2) Playing games so that students enjoy while learning.
