General Information
Communication Components, Inc. Band-
Selective Repeater improves signal strength in
both indoor and outdoor environments where
high-quality voice or high-speed data service
is not available. It is ideal for use in structures
with limited signal penetration such as office
buildings, industrial facilities, tunnels and sub-
ways and is suitable for installation in the most
demanding outdoor applications.
The Band-Selective Repeater is designed to
operate in todays multi-spectrum environ-
ments where carriers have frequency alloca-
tions in more than one PCS operating band. It
amplifies and repeats any two PCS operating
bands (ex. A +C1 Band), while rejecting your competitors signals. By
down-converting and filtering only your frequencies, it is able to increase
revenues and lower service costs.

CCIs Band-Selective Repeater provides two independent channels of
highly-selective down-conversion and IF filtering to reject competitors sig-
nals and other interference while delivering robust amplification of the se-
lected bands. Each channel can have a distinct bandwidth of either 5,
10, 15 or 20 MHz thus allowing for any two PCS operating bands to be
specified.
The Band-Selective Repeater is designed to maintain downlink power
requirements, not gain. Gain, both uplink and downlink, is automatically
adjusted to meet the downlink power settings thus eliminating the need
for manual gain control found in other repeaters. A microprocessor
based monitoring interface controls all BDA system parameters and re-
ports status to a local or remote controller via a wireless modem.
The Unit consists of a single compact unit in a rugged moisture proof
NEMA 4X enclosure suitable for indoor and outdoor installation and can
be powered by a conventional 110/220 VAC source or DC fed via the
center conductor of the RF coax cable.
