IMPORTANT: General references to HP P6000 Command View can also refer to earlier versions of HP Command View EVA. To determine which versions of array controller software support HP P6000 Command View , see Table 2.0, HP P6000 Command View interoperability support, in the HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array Compatibility Reference. For more information about HP XCS, see the release notes for the specific XCS version. Update recommendation HP recommends that you upgrade to HP P6000 Command View 10.3.1 if HP P6000 Command View 10.3 is installed already. If HP P6000 Command View 10.3.1 is already installed when HP P6000 Command View 10.3.1 installation is initiated, HP P6000 Command View 10.3.1 will be installed again. NOTE: HP P6000 Command View 10.3 with EVA to 3PAR Online Import feature installed is a prerequisite for installing HP P6000 Command View 10.3.1 patch. If HP P6000 Command View 10.3 is not installed before installing HP P6000 Command View 10.3.1, the installation fails. The following error message appears: The HP P6000 Command View Software Suite 10.3 needs to be installed on the system in order to apply the 10.3.1 patch. 4 HP P6000 Command View This section contains information about the enhancements, fixes, licenses, compatibility and inter operability, and work arounds and limitations for HP P6000 Command View 10.3.1. Enhancements The following enhancements are made in this version of HP EVA to 3PAR StoreServ Online Import: EVA to 3PAR Online Import introduces an option to select between secure and non-secure connection mode while adding destination 3PAR StoreServ storage system. For preparation and data transfer failure, EVA to 3PAR Online Import introduces a specific error message from the destination 3PAR StoreServ storage system that might appear along with the existing generic message. Probability of preparation phase failure is reduced since delay is introduced between presentation of virtual disks from HP P6000 EVA storage system to HP StoreServ storage system and the preparation process. This provides some time for virtual disks to appear on the HP StoreServ storage system. NOTE: Patch 3.1.2 P16 supports a new self-signed 2048-bit RSA SSL certificate for HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage. Upon completion of the upgrade to this patch, a new self-signed SSL certificate will be created. HP 3PAR Remote CLI clients, HP 3PAR Management Console, 3PAR Recovery Manager, and/or any other client applications communicating to the HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage system over SSL must be upgraded to newer versions to use the new certificate. Known Issues When EVAPA is installed on a Windows 2012 server, the following message appears in the Windows application log: The application (PostgreSQL 9.0 from vendor PostgreSQL Global Development Group) has the following problem: To function properly, PostgreSQL 9.0 must be reinstalled after you upgrade Windows. This is a warning message and has no impact on EVAPA performance. If the CVEVA time is set using the NTP server in some time zones, the time is not set accurately as per the local time zone. The CVEVA time can be set to the browser time instead of the NTP time. Intermittent delay might be experienced in the EVAinfo command execution at times. Issues resolved The following issues are resolved in this version of HP Storage System Scripting Utility: HP HP-UX 11.23 PI/11iv2 (64b Intel), HP HP-UX 11.31/11iv3 (64b Intel) - Fixed an issue in which SSSU was crashing on HP-UX IA-64 systems due to OpenSSL library mismatch. HP OpenVMS 8.4 on Alpha and Integrity servers - Fixed an issue in which executing the CODELOAD and WAIT_UNTIL commands was causing SSSU to crash. The following issues are resolved in this version of HP EVA to 3PAR StoreServ Online Import: Preparation fails when there are maximum characters for virtual disk or host name at the source P6000 EVA storage system - Truncation of the volume, host, or host set name is done up to the maximum characters that are supported on the destination 3PAR StoreServ storage system. Migration completion timestamp on virtual disk comment at source P6000 EVA storage system differs from the timestamp on Virtual volume comment at destination 3PAR StoreServ storage system. There is no comment on the host that was created during the migration process - HP P6000 Command View 5 Comments are now updated with relevant timestamp for virtual disk and host on P6000 EVA storage system, and virtual volume and host on 3PAR StoreServ storage system. Memory used in Command View navigation tree was not released - Fixed an issue with Command View where memory used by the array objects in Command View navigation tree was not released. Evaperf application shutdown throws exception - Fixed an issue in which Evaperf application shutdown throws an exception.
