How To Use A Feng Shui BaGua Mirror

If you eer isit a Chinese Souenir sho!
or Feng Shui sho!" you#ll notice these
octagonal sha!ed $irrors with lines
%trigra$s re!resenting each section of
the BaGua& !ainted on wood around
the$' Many !eo!le li(e the loo(s of the$
)ut $ay not (now why or how you
should use the$'
The BaGua $irror is used to diffuse
strong energy directed towards a s!ecific
!oint' A general guideline is that they
should neer )e hung inside a ho$e or
)usiness and only )e used on the
outside' There are s!ecial circu$stances when you would hang one indoors )ut
*+, of the ti$e" always on the outside of a residence or )usiness'
-.a$!les of when to use a BaGua Mirror/
1) If your ho$e or )usiness is at the end of a T0Intersection"
2) if you hae a corner or shar! o)1ect !ointing at the front door"
3) if you are e.!eriencing un!leasant energy fro$ a !articular area around your
ho$e or )usiness'
It is then a!!ro!riate to hang a BaGua Mirror !ointing towards that direction' Many
ti$es" if a !erson is haing difficulty with a neigh)or or receiing tension fro$ a
!articular location" a )agua $irror can )e hung !ointing towards that direction'
Indiiduals ty!ically notice a shift of energy right away'
The $ost co$$on !osition is to !lace it oer the front door for a )usiness or ho$e'
2ee! in $ind that this should )e diffusing energy that you find difficult and not
necessarily )ecause you 1ust thought it should )e there )ecause it was for sale in a
store'
I recently isited a ho$e that had 3 BaGua $irrors hanging in the )edroo$ and
hallway' I as(ed the indiidual why and they said" I don#t (now" )ecause I thought
that is what you were su!!osed to do and I always saw the$ at the store so I
!ic(ed u! a cou!le'
There actually was a recent law suit in San Fransisco#s China Town where a store
owner was suing another store owner )ecause they !laced a BaGua $irror oer
their door and was !ointing at their )usiness' This is the wrong a!!roach when
thin(ing a)out a BaGua $irror' It does not necessarily reflect the energy or send
energy )ac( to that location to $a(e the$ suffer )ut actually is a $ethod to
transfor$ the energy and dis!erse the energy'
So the ne.t ti$e you see a BaGua $irror" don#t feel that you need to !urchase it for
Feng Shui unless you hae a s!ecific reason for !lacing it'

The eight trigrams of the bagua.
Click here for an explanation of each symbol.
is the rare instance where a bagua mirror is
placed on the inside of a building - on the
wall you are facing so that the energy of
anyone entering is reflected.
Bagua mirrors can also be used to counteract negative Qi of a spiritual nature such as evil entities.
They are only used outside the house, office or retail business, and are mounted above the door or window with the mirror
facing toward the offending object/"poison arrow". Never use a bagua mirror on the inside.
int. !lace a bagua mirror above your front door to harmonise and create good fortune for all those that enter. Ne"t time you
visit a #hinese restaurant or business, have a loo$ above the entrance for a bagua mirror.
There are a number of bagua mirrors available through Natures %nergies, each with a different nature.

Gol! - $epresents late summer, productivity and success2

)ear (aria and all users,
7 would sincerely li$e to point out the 8dangers9 of +ast +ood +eng .hui.
7 am glad that you as$ed the :uestion. 7f one does not $now the answer, it is best to chec$ first before
8implementing9 self;help +eng .hui cures.
,s 7 recall, there was this )octor, who bought boo$s on +eng .hui. e went out to buy a foutain, started to -7
believe/ read chapter by chapter. ,t each chapter or what he thought were his element e.g. based on the year of
his birth, he found that e.g. he was a +ire element person. e started to paint the main gate with a colour that he
though would 8enhance9 him.
<ater on, when he used the traditional !illars of )estiny which analyses not only his =ear of birth but (onth, )ay
and our. e found that his true element was no longer the +ire element. -!illars loo$s at two fields in each of
the =ear, (onth, )ay and our/ resulting in analysing all eight 8branches9 and 8stem9 to come up with a person9s
true element.
+rom the above, you will realise, when one studys human anatomy to become a doctor, our $idney, our hearts
are properly documented as they are 8physical9.
7n +eng .hui, it also has to depend on the author and in some instances, we are dealing with 8wind9 or Qi
portion.
7 hope you can see the difference here.
,s 7 mentioned in a recent forum message, the Bagua is most commonly used under two situations*;
3. To neutralise Qi. +or e"ample, if the main entrance door faces the main gate and there is a road leading
directly straight towards the main entrance door, this is .ha Qi.
2. ,s :uite of alot of +eng .hui practioners -especially in ,sia/ have a religion e.g. Buddhism or Toaism, they
tend to loo$ at the Bagua in a religious way and feel that it is good to place a bagua above the main entrance
door to 8ward off evil.9
0. The :uestion 7 would need to as$ is what is your purpose of placing a Bagua>
1. , Ba gua mirror comes in several different forms*;
a. (ore importantly, it should be the design under the +irst eaven .e:uence.
&ef* http://www.!globe.com/fs/pakua.htm
b. 7t comes in several form*
The concave mirror
The conve" mirror
The Bagua with two )oor 'ods -a picture
is available under !hoto Tours.. loo$
for the Ba 'ua.../
c. 7n my opinion, the Bagua mirror is not commonly used overseas -?. or %urope/. @ne :uestion here is that
can it be used to 8ward off evil9. .ince the predominat religion in such countries is #hristianity -Broadly, #atholics,
!rotestants and other #hristians/.
d. 7n ,sia, it is common for 8blessed9 before being used. 7n other countries one can 8try9 to say a short prayer
before hanging it up.
.ome +. practioners belief that this is not necessary.
e. 7f it is hung above a door, it should be at the centre;point.
7f you still not convinced or have doubts about hanging a bagua mirror, 7 suggest you do not hang it especially if
one has the belief that it can enhance 8wealth9.
