I. ABSTRACT
One of the well-known systems in the BSA program in Baliuag University is the
Accounting Refresher Course. This was implemented in order to improve the quality of the
education for students who want to become Certified Public Accountants. Students are
required to attend review classes during summer vacation in preparation for the qualifying
examination. Qualifying examinations are given to incoming 2
nd
year and 3
rd
year students to
test their learning and to assess how they progress as they continue the course.
The Accounting Refresher Course is usually divided into three modules, each having
a professor who handles the class. The tuition fee ranges from 1000 1,500 for the whole
review. Unfortunately, last March 2014, a new policy was introduced in the department
changing the Accounting Refresher Course into an integrated Accounting subject. This
increased the tuition fee to 15, 000 for the whole review.
