.he M$da Agric$&t$ra& De*e&opment A$thority /MADA0 was esta%&ished in 1#23 to promote
and $nderta!e economic and socia& de*e&opment in the 4awasan M$da. It has #25333
hectares o+ padi p&antations5 constit$ting 6"7 o+ Ma&aysia8s tota&5 and prod$cing a&most 937
o+ nationa& padi o$tp$t.

padi prod$ction +rom C.1 tonnes to D tonnes per hectare.

Ri*er/(adang .erap Ri*er and +rom Ahning Dam channe&&ed thro$gh the (adang =anai
Ri*er/(adang .erap Ri*er. .here are se*era& tri%$taries that +&ow into the (adang .erap and
(ed$ Ri*ers. Among the &argest tri%$taries are the (adang =anai and Na!a Ri*ers.
