MUSICIANS UNION STANDARD CONTRACT
For the Engagement of a DJ for a Casual Engagement

WHEREBY IT IS AGREED:-

1. The Hirer engages the DJ to provide DJ and/or MC Services (the Performance)

at(Venue)

(the above Performance, Venue, times and Date(s) are together referred as the Engagement)

2. The Fee for the Engagement shall be (plus VAT if applicable) which shall be payable in
cash/by cheque (delete whichever is inapplicable) on the Date(s) of the Engagement and in no
event later than immediately following the End of the Performance. Performance in excess of that
specified in Clause 1 above shall be paid at the same hourly rate plus fifty percent (50%)

3. The Hirer agrees to supply the following in respect of the Engagement (eg. Pa
system, mic(s), record decks, lighting, technical support)

4. The Hirer shall ensure the provision at the Venue for the Engagement of a safe supply of electricity,
the security of the DJ and his/her equipment and property, comprehensive public liability insurance
covering the DJ , advertising/promotion for the Engagement (if applicable) and that no audio and/or
visual recording and/or transmission and/or photography of the DJ s Performance takes place
without the DJ s prior written consent.

5. The equipment (including without limitation the records) of the DJ shall not be made available for
use by other performers or any other person(s) except by specific permission of the DJ .

6. This Agreement may not be modified or cancelled except by mutual consent in writing and signed
by both parties. Any rider attached hereto and signed by both parties shall be deemed incorporated
into (and where inconsistent with the terms hereof shall be deemed to override the provisions of)
this Agreement.
