WEEKLY LITURGY SCHEDULE

ST TERESA OF THE CHILD JESUS, SHENLEY ROAD

Sunday Mass: Saturday (Vigil Mass) 6pm; Sunday 10am, (Tea and coffee in St Teresa’s Parish
Centre after this Mass – all are welcome)
Weekday Mass: Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri - Mass at 9.15am. (There is no Mass on a Wednesday or

Saturday morning, except 1 Saturday of each month at SS John Fisher and Thomas More Church –
see below – Please note that Weekday Mass times are subject to change)
Services of Word and Holy Communion: When Fr Michael or a supply priest is unavailable to
celebrate Mass, Sr Margaret or Sr Mary will conduct a Service of Word and Holy Communion.
Sacrament of Reconciliation: Saturday 11am to 11.30am & 5pm to 5.40pm or by appointment

Private Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament: 1 Saturday of each month at SS John Fisher &
Thomas More Church between 10 am and 11 am
Rosary Group: Normally every Friday 7.15pm at St Teresa’s Church, Shenley Road.

First Saturday of every month: Mass at 9.30am followed by private prayer before the Blessed
Sacrament till 11am. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will take place between 10 and 10.30am

your level of giving. For those of you who have requested standing order mandates for Direct
Debit payments, please ensure they are sent directly to your bank or return them to Sue
Partington, Joint Parishes Secretary as soon as possible.
 PARISH INFORMATION

CLEANERS WANTED – If you would like to become part the existing and much valued Church cleaning team at
St Teresa’s then please speak to Fr Michael or Sue Partington, the joint parishes secretary on 0208 953 1294 –
all offers of help gratefully received. You would asked be asked to clean no more than once a month by joining
the current rota.

ALTAR SERVERS TRAINING – Would the parent(s) of any child in year 3 or above, who has made his/her First
Holy Communion, and wishes to seriously consider training for altar serving in either one of our Churches
please contact Fr Michael at borehamwood@rcdow.org.uk or by calling St Teresa’s Parish Office on 0208 953
1294. After Fr Michael has had a discussion with the parent(s) of any interested child, an application form will be
provided.

CHRISTMAS RAFFLE – Tickets will be sold after all the Masses this weekend for a fine Christmas Hamper.
Tickets are £1 a strip. The draw for the winning number will take place next weekend.

BAPTISMS – We congratulate and warmly welcome Joseph Noone who was baptised into our parish family at
St Teresa’s Church this weekend

ST TERESA’S SCHOOL END OF TERM MASS – will take place at 9.30 am at St Teresa’s Church on Friday 18
December. The whole School will be present. All parents and parishioners are welcome.

ST TERESA’S SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CONCERT – will take place at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 16 December at
St Teresa’s Church. All welcome

ADVENT RECONCILIATION SERVICE – will take place at SS John Fisher and Thomas More Church,

Rossington Avenue this coming Monday 14 December at 7.30 pm. Five priests will be available for individual
Sacrament of Reconciliation. This will be a good opportunity to prepare well spiritually for the great feast of
Christmas. Fr Paul McDermott, the Parish Priest of St Agnes Church in Cricklewood will preach at this service on
the theme of ‘Emmanuel: God with us!’

ADVENT CAROLS AND SERVICE OF LIGHT – will take place at SS John Fisher and Thomas More on Sunday

20 December at 4 pm. Bishop George Stack, Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster with responsibility for the
Hertfordshire deaneries will be present and preach at this service. Our whole community from both our parishes
are welcome to this service.

LOURDES DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE FUNDRAISING CONCERT of CAROLS and READINGS for
