ABSTRACT

Organization Development is the process of aligning human capital strategy with the
mission, vision, values and strategy of the organization. It includes organization
structure, supporting systems and processes, leadership development, succession
planning, talent acquisition and talent engagement. The overall theory is that a unity of
what the organization is and what it wishes to accomplish with that of the individual
and his or her goals will propel the organization to greater levels of performance. OD is
an applied field of change that uses behavioral science knowledge to increase the
capacity from change and to improve the functioning and performance of a human
system.
It provides a comprehensive review of theory, practice, and research in the field of
organizational development an organizing theoretical framework is presented the
theoretical base of the field is analyzed implementation theory and each is
summarized and critiqued a variety of organizational development interventions,
organized into four categories drawn from the theoretical framework, are described
findings from nearly evaluations of organizational development interventions are
aggregated and used to evaluate predictions derived from the theoretical framework.
The purpose of the pro!ect that led to this report has been to provide with as much
information from the OD as possible, in as user"friendly a format as possible, for such
organizational use. To facilitate use of these materials, e#amples of application have
been developed and are included in this report.
INTRODUCTION

informal groups, organizations, communities, and societies& in order to increase their
effectiveness and health using a variety of disciplines, principally applied behavioral
sciences. OD requires practitioners to be conscious about the values guiding their

NEED OF THE STUDY
Organizational development is the use of organizational resources to improve efficiency
and e#pand productivity. It can be used to solve problems within the organization or as
a way to analyze a process and find a more efficient way of doing it. Implementing
organizational development requires an investment of time and money. /ut when you
understand its importance, you can !ustify the costs.
Organizational Change
The process of organizational development identifies areas of company operations
where change is needed. 0ach need is analyzed, and the potential effects are pro!ected
into a change management plan. The plan outlines the specific ways in which the
change will improve company operations, who will be affected by the change and how
it can be rolled out efficiently to employees. 1ithout organizational development as
part of change management, a company would have a difficult time developing
effective change management programs.

survey was conducted by face to face interview with employees and found to be best
suited to collect the primary data for this pro!ect.
SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The study involves analyzing the organizational development. The scope of the study is
limited to the information gathered from the company only.

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY
The focus of the study was to evaluate the !ob analysis in the company;

was low.

it was confidential for company.
