Previously, 3D images have been created through high-speed liquid crys-
tal driving using two signal lines. However, with rapid-response UV

technology, successful high-speed liquid crystal driving can be achieved
with a single signal line. This allows for a minimal wiring and component
count inside the LCD panel and improved light efciency, thus resulting
in a brighter image and uses less power.

Colours graded in much more detail
Sharps own Quattron and X-Gen technologies spectacularly improve
colour production and picture quality. The Quattron system adds yellow
to the three primary colours of red, green and blue (RGB plus). The real
improvement in the reproduction of yellow means that a huge range of
gradations can be recreated, for a much more natural effect.
The Quattron system creates 8 million sub pixels, resulting in incomparable
colour reproduction (compared with 6.2 million in RGB).

The latest generation of X-Gen panels are made using UVA image align-
ment technology unique to Sharp, creating a sharper contrast in super
quick time.
By facilitating the passage of light and thus enhancing the backlighting or

become deeper and the whites brighter.
