Apple Spelling
Spelling apple themed words
Students will use the word bank to spell all of the apple
themed words. Cut out the letters and place them in a
ziploc bag or a container. Students will use the letters to
spell the words next to each picture. Then they will write
each word on the recording sheet.

Apple poetry
Students will read the apple poem or you can read the
apple poem to them. Then they will write the apple poem
on the poetry recording sheet. This can be stored in
their poetry notebook. Students can create an apple star
print with this poem. The teacher must cut the apple in
half. (Apple must be cut horizontally between the flower
and stem ends) Students can then stamp their apple in
red, yellow, or green paint. Once they stamp it, a star will
appear!

Apple Poetry
Directions: Read the apple poem to one another. Write the poem on
the lines below.
Apple writing
Students will discuss the types of things that can come
out of an apple. Encourage them to use their
imagination. This writing is supposed to be fun, silly, and
creative! Students will complete the sentence prompt by
writing about what came out of their apple once they bit
into it. Then they can try to write one more sentence
about what happened. Students will then illustrate their
writing on the top half of the writing page.
