GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION WITH DIRECTORATE GENERAL

DEFENCE PURCHASE, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE, PAKISTAN
1.

Your firm is welcome to do business with Defence Purchase Organizations of

Pakistan. For this purpose you may get your registration with Directorate General
Defense Purchase (DGDP). Following categories of firms are registered.

Foreigner Manufacturer (Original Equipment Manufacturer) OEM

b.

Foreigner Stockist

c.

Foreigner Exporter

Registration implies formal approval accorded to the applicant firm by DGDP on:a.

Completion of requisite preliminaries by the firm.

b.

Finalization of verification process/ By ISI/MI Dte/Pakistan/Foreign Embassy.

Following proforma (enclosed) are required to be filled up by the applicant firm.

Eight copies are required duly filled:-

It is expected that your firm would have a proper office with companys sign board
suitably displayed and telephone etc for ease of establishing contact and inspection
etc.

In complete documents are sent back to the firm for completion. Firms are expected
to resubmit the complete documents within 2 months period otherwise registration
case will be considered closed.

6.

On submission of papers by the firm. DGDP refers the case to Embassies/Consulate

Generals who issue detailed instruction for the verification. Following main aspects
are observed by the Embassies:a.

Ownership/Property documents/financial capability.

b.

Availability of machinery/source for material and technical/skilled labour.

c.

Testing facilities for quality control and production of declared item.

d.

Export certificate of defence hardware from government to Pakistan.

7.

The registration fee US $ 300/-(Three Hundred US Dollars Only) should be deposited

into the Government Treasury/State/National Bank of Pakistan even in branch offices
of said banks in every where around the world. The amount should be deposited
under Major Head C02501-20, Main Head-12, Sub Head-A, Miscellaneous (Code
Head 1/845/30). The amount is non-refundable.

Foreigners must hold bank account in any scheduled Bank of Pakistan or in its
branch office around the world. The foreigner will provide bank statement in his own
currency duly showing the balance for last 6 months to one year in triplicate.

Challan for US $. 300/- as registration fee, the amount should be deposited under
Major Head C02501-20, Main Head-12, Sub Head-A, Miscellaneous (Code Head
1/845/30).

Registration Certificate of Chamber of commerce/Trade/Commercial/Industrial

Organizations in duplicate.

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS FOR EXPORTER

Copy of fresh price list issued by the manufacturer.

5.
