IMPLEMENTATION OF
RESEARCH
#.'8 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The process of collecting different facts related with the problem compiling and
anal+?ing the facts1 drawing conclusions in a s+stemic manner @ getting
authoritati)e and reliable satisfaction means research.
There are three t+pes of research
1) ;undamental research
The word fundamental itself indicate that new theories
are created @ old theories are e3amined. In this t+pe of research Thorndike1
0a)lo)1 2rooner1 Ausubel1 ha)e established certain fundamental theories related
with stud+ing.
2) Applied researchA-
The research undertaken for practical use is called as
applied research. This research is used to sol)e the practical problems in da+
toda+ life. Applied research is also called as pro -practical research. The basic
purpose of the applied research is to gain knowledge for the practical use.
3) Action researchA-

<hile conducting the research the researcher felt that there were some other areas
in which research can be carried out.
1 The research can be carried out in other languages like 9indi and 5arathi.
2 This t+pe of stud+ can also be carried on higher Standard.
3 The research can also be carried in writing of 6nglish.

Action research as the name suggest1 is the research undertaken before
taking an+ action for sol)ing a contemporar+ problem faced during the teaching or
performing the teaching learning acti)ities. Teacher faces man+ problems while
teaching1 after that teacher tr+ to find out the solutions to the problems .then he
tries to sol)e his problem b+ the self effort.
;rom the abo)e three t+pes of research1 the researcher ha)e
selected the action research to sol)e his problem. The results of the modern
action research are poor forward b+ the Sir Iohn 7uiee. 2ecause of the 7uties
contribution in the research he is called as father of the action research.
DEFINITIONS OF THE ACTION RESEARCH
1) CAction research is the method for impro)ing and modif+ing the
working s+stem of classroom and schools.
2) DAction research means it is a scientific research which is connected
with the practical aspects of the education.
RESEARCH METHOD
.esearch method can be called planning @ e3ecution undertaken b+
the researcher to sol)e the specific research problem. The research can be past1
present or future oriented
;ollowing are the three research methods
1) D*s0r)2t);* .r s<r;*= r*s*1r0h+&
In sur)e+ research it is e3pected to find out answers to the
present problems. To sol)e the current problems related with the process of
stud+ing and teaching is the ob(ecti)e of action research. Sur)e+ is the first step of
the action research.
2) C.& r*>1t);* r*s*1r0h
This research is related with the co relation of one or two factors with
each other. In this research it is e3pected to stud+ the current situations.
3) E?2*r)@*:t1> r*s*1r0h
The research in which effect of one factor on the other is studied is called as
e3perimental research. In scientific terms e3perimental research means e3amining
the h+pothesis indicating the cause and effect relationship.
2+ stud+ing the abo)e research methods the researcher has chosen the
e3perimental method for sol)ing his research problem.
