Explanation of Graphical Symbols
The exclamation point within an equilat-
eral triangle is intended to alert the user to
the presence of important operating and
maintenance (servicing) instructions in the
literature accompanying the product.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol
within an equilateral triangle is intended to
alert the user to the presence of uninsulated
dangerous voltage within the products
enclosure that may be of sufficient magni-
tude to constitute a risk of electric shock to
persons.
10. Power Sources The appliance should be connected to a
power supply only of the type described in the operating
instructions or as marked on the appliance.
11. Grounding or Polarization The precautions that should be
taken so that the grounding or polarization means of an
appliance is not defeated.
12. Power-Cord Protection Power-supply cords should be
routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by
items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention
to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where
they exit from the appliance.
13. Cleaning The appliance should be cleaned only as recom-
mended by the manufacturer.
14. Nonuse Periods The power cord of the appliance should be
unplugged from the outlet when left unused for a long period
of time.
15. Object and Liquid Entry Care should be taken so that
objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure
through openings.
16. Damage Requiring Service The appliance should be ser-
viced by qualified service personnel when:
A. The power-supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or

D. The appliance does not appear to operate normally or

Thank you for purchasing Yamaha MSP5 monitor speaker. The MSP5 features a compact
bass reflex cabinet, with 12 cm two-way cone speaker and 2.5 cm titanium dome speaker.
This powered bi-amplifier speaker system faithfully reproduces sound and can be used for a
wide range of applications, from personal home recordings to serious professional use.
Please read this Owners Manual thoroughly to make the best use of the MSP5s quality
functions for a long period of time.
Precautions
Connect this units power cord only to an AC outlet of the
type stated in this Owners Manual or as marked on the unit.
Failure to do so is a fire and electrical shock hazard.
Do not allow water to enter this unit or allow the unit to
become wet. Fire or electrical shock may result.
Do not place heavy objects, including this unit, on top of
the power cord. A damaged power cord is a fire and
electrical shock hazard. In particular, be careful not to place
heavy objects on a power cord covered by a carpet.
Do not place a container with liquid or small metal objects
on top of this unit. Liquid or metal objects inside this unit
are a fire and electrical shock hazard.
Do not scratch, bend, twist, pull, or heat the power cord. A
damaged power cord is a fire and electrical shock hazard.
If lightning begins to occur, turn off the power switch of the
unit as soon as possible, and unplug the power cord plug
from the electrical outlet.
If there is a possibility of lightning, do not touch the power
cable plug if it is still connected. Doing so may be an
electrical shock hazard.
Do not modify the unit. Doing so is a fire and electrical
shock hazard.
Do not remove the units cover. You could receive an
electrical shock. If you think internal inspection, mainte-
nance, or repair is necessary, contact your dealer.
If the power cord is damaged (i.e., cut or a bare wire is
exposed), ask your dealer for a replacement. Using the unit
with a damaged power cord is a fire and electrical shock
hazard.
If you notice any abnormality, such as smoke, odor, or
noise, or if a foreign object or liquid gets inside the unit,
turn it off immediately. Remove the power cord from the AC
outlet. Consult your dealer for repair. Using the unit in this
condition is a fire and electrical shock hazard.
Should this unit be dropped or the cabinet be damaged,
turn the power switch off, remove the power plug from the
AC outlet, and contact your dealer. If you continue using the
unit without heeding this instruction, fire or electrical shock
may result.
Keep this unit away from the following locations:
- Locations exposed to oil splashes or steam, such as near
cooking stoves, humidifiers, etc.
- Unstable surfaces, such as a wobbly table or slope.
- Locations exposed to excessive heat, such as inside a car
with all the windows closed, or places that receive direct
sunlight.
- Locations subject to excessive humidity or dust accumu-
lation.
Do not place the power cord close to a heater. It may melt,
causing fire or electrical shock.
Hold the power cord plug when disconnecting it from an
AC outlet. Never pull the cord. A damaged power cord is a
potential fire and electrical shock hazard.
Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. Doing so is a
potential electrical shock hazard.
To relocate the unit, turn the power switch off, remove the
power plug from the AC outlet, and remove all connecting
cables. Damaged cables may cause fire or electrical shock.
This unit is heavy. Use two or more people to carry it.
Turn off all musical instruments, audio equipment, and
speakers when connecting to this unit. Use the correct
connecting cables and connect as specified.
Always lower the volume control to minimum before
turning on the power to this unit. A sudden blast of sound
may damage your hearing.
Do not output distorted sounds for long periods of time, as
this will cause the speaker to heat up, leading to a fire hazard.
If you know you will not use this unit for a long period of time,
such as when going on vacation, remove the power plug from
the AC outlet. Leaving it connected is a potential fire hazard.
To prevent electrical shock when cleaning the unit, remove
the power plug from the AC outlet.
Magnetic shield type: This speaker is magnetically shielded.
However, if a nearby monitor displays any uneven colors,
place it further away from the monitor.
Using a mobile telephone near this unit may induce noise. If
noise occurs, use the telephone away from the unit.
The rubber feet included in this package can be used to
prevent the device from slipping. Attach these feet to the
unit when you use it on a slippery surface.
You may notice air blowing in and out of the ports on the
device. This is not abnormal. It is more noticeable when you
play a program with an expanded lower range.
Allow a distance of 5 cm between the unit and the wall so
that heat generated from the unit will be released effectively.
Also, allow enough space between the unit and other
devices. Keep a space of 10 cm on the top and the side. If
heat release is inadequate, the unit will retain heat inside
the unit, which may cause a fire.

THE WIRES IN MAINS LEAD ARE COLOURED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING CODE:
BLUE : NEUTRAL
BROWN : LIVE
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this apparatus
may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the
terminals in your plug proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.
Making sure that neither core is connected to the earth terminal of
the three pin plug.

1Power indicator
This indicator lights up when you turn the POWER
switch ON.
2VOL (Volume) control
This control knob enables you to adjust the overall
sound volume. Rotating the control counter
clockwise lowers the volume level. Rotating it
clockwise raises the volume level.

3POWER switch
This switch turns the power to the MSP5 on and
off. When you turn this switch on, the green
power indicator on the front panel lights up.
4TRIM switches
These switches enable you to adjust the bass and
treble for the MSP5.
LOW: four positions
The LOW switch adjusts the bass range. With the
+1 setting, the bass range is boosted by 1.5 dB.
With the 1 and 2 settings, the bass range is
cut by 1.5 dB.

HIGH: three positions
The HIGH switch adjusts the treble. With the +1
setting, the treble range is boosted by 1.5 dB. With
the 1 setting, the treble range is cut by 1.5 dB.

LINE 1
This is an XLR-type jack used to connect a bal-
anced.
LINE 2
This is a monaural phone jack used to connect an
unbalanced line output.

Nous vous remercions davoir port votre choix sur lenceinte dcoute Yamaha MSP5. Cette
enceinte comporte un coffret bass reflex avec un haut-parleur conique deux voies de 12 cm
et un haut-parleur dme en titane de 2,5 cm. Ce systme actif bi-amplifi reproduit le son
avec une grande fidlit et peut servir de nombreuses fins, allant des enregistrements
domicile un usage professionnel srieux. Veuillez lire attentivement ce Guide de lutilisa-
teur afin de tirer parti de toutes les possibilits offertes par le MSP5 durant de longues annes.
Prcautions
Ne branchez le cordon dalimentation de cet appareil qu
une prise secteur qui rpond aux caractristiques donnes
dans ce manuel ou sur lappareil, faute de quoi, il y a risque
dincendie.
Evitez de mouiller lappareil ou de laisser pntrer de leau
dans son botier. Il y a risque dincendie ou dlectrocution.
Ne posez pas dobjets pesants ( commencer par lappareil
lui-mme) sur le cordon dalimentation. Un cordon
dalimentation endommag peut provoquer un incendie ou
une lectrocution. Cette prcaution est notamment valable
lorsque le cordon dalimentation passe sous un tapis.
Ne posez pas de rcipient contenant des liquides ou de
petits objets mtalliques sur lappareil. Si un liquide ou des

En cas dorage, veillez mettre lunit hors tension ds que
possible et dbrancher le cordon dalimentation de la
prise murale.
En cas dorage avec des risques de foudre, vitez tout
contact avec le cordon dalimentation si ce dernier est
toujours connect une prise murale. Vous viterez ainsi
une lectrocution.
Cet appareil ne peut pas tre modifi par lutilisateur. Il y a

Nouvrez jamais le botier de cet appareil. Il y a risque
dlectrocution. Si vous pensez que lappareil doit subir une
rvision, un entretien ou une rparation, veuillez contacter
votre revendeur.

ou si un fil est nu), veuillez en demander un nouveau
votre revendeur. Lutilisation de lappareil avec un cordon
dalimentation endommag constitue un risque dincendie

Si vous remarquez un phnomne anormal tel que de la
fume, une odeur bizarre ou un bourdonnement ou, encore,
si vous avez renvers du liquide ou des petits objets
lintrieur, mettez lappareil immdiatement hors tension et
dbranchez le cordon dalimentation. Consultez votre
revendeur pour faire examiner lappareil. Lutilisation de
lappareil dans ces conditions constitue un risque dincen-
die ou dlectrocution.
Lorsque lappareil tombe ou si le botier est endommag,
coupez lalimentation, dbranchez le cordon de la prise
secteur et contactez votre revendeur. Lutilisation de
lappareil dans ces conditions constitue un risque dincen-
die ou dlectrocution.
Evitez de placer lappareil dans les endroits suivants:
- Les endroits soumis des claboussures dhuile ou de
la vapeur ( proximit de cuisinires, dhumidificateurs,
etc.).
- Des surfaces instables, telles un table mal balance ou
une surface incline.
- Les endroits soumis une chaleur excessive ( lintrieur
dun vhicule toutes fentres fermes) ou en plein soleil.
- Les endroits particulirement humides ou poussireux.
Ne placez jamais le cordon dalimentation proximit dun
dispositif de chauffage. Il pourrait fondre, ce qui constitue
un risque dincendie ou dlectrocution.
Dbranchez toujours le cordon dalimentation en tirant sur
la prise et non sur le cble. Un cordon dalimentation
endommag constitue un risque dincendie ou dlectrocu-
tion.
Ne touchez pas la prise dalimentation avec des mains
mouilles. Il y a risque dlectrocution.
Avant de changer cet appareil de place, coupez lalimenta-
tion, dbranchez le cordon dalimentation de la prise
secteur et dbranchez tous les cbles de connexion. Des
cbles endommags constituent un risque dincendie ou
dlectrocution.
Cet appareil est particulirement lourd. Il doit tre port par
deux personnes au moins.
Coupez tous les instruments de musique, les appareils audio
et les enceintes avant de les brancher cet appareil. Utilisez
les cbles de connexion adquats et branchez-les selon les
consignes donnes.
Rglez le volume en position minimum avant de mettre cet
appareil sous tension. Une explosion sonore brutale risque
dendommager votre oue.
Evitez de reproduire des signaux saturs pendant de longues
priodes. Cela peut provoquer lchauffement des hauts-
parleurs et ventuellement un incendie.
Si vous pensez ne pas utiliser cet appareil durant une
longue priode (si vous partez en vacance, par exemple),
dbranchez le cordon dalimentation pour viter tout risque
dincendie.
Pour viter toute lectrocution durant le nettoyage de
lappareil, dbranchez le cordon dalimentation au
pralable.
Avec blindage magntique: Cette enceinte dispose dun
blindage magntique. Toutefois, si un cran plac
proximit affiche des couleurs ingales, loignez lenceinte.
Lusage dun tlphone mobile proximit de lappareil
peut provoquer des interfrences. Dans ce cas, loignez le
tlphone mobile.
Les pieds en caoutchouc fournis peuvent tre utiliss pour
viter que le dispositif se mette glisser. Attachez-les
lorsque vous avez lintention dinstaller le dispositif sur une
surface lisse.
Peut-tre remarquerez-vous un souffle dair manant des
orifices. Il sagit l dun phnomne normal qui se remarque
dautant plus fort que le dispositif contient des frquences
graves.
Veillez garder une distance de 5 cm entre lappareil et une
paroi pour que lair dgag par cet appareil puisse se
dissiper. De plus, veillez ce que la distance entre cet
appareil et dautres soit suffisamment grande. Laissez un
espace de 10 cm sur le dessus et sur les cts. Si la chaleur
ne peut pas se dissiper, le manque de ventilation peut
provoquer un incendie.

3Interrupteur POWER
Cet interrupteur permet de mettre le MSP5 sous et
hors tension. Lorsquil se trouve en position ON,
le tmoin vert en face avant sallume pour indi-
quer que lenceinte est sous tension.
4Commutateurs TRIM
Ces commutateurs vous permettent de rgler le
grave et laigu pour le MSP5.
LOW: quatre positions
Le commutateur LOW permet dajuster le grave.
Avec un rglage +1, la plage du grave est
accentue de 1,5 dB. Avec des rglages de 1 et
2, le grave est attnu de 1,5 dB et de 3 dB
respectivement.

HIGH: trois positions
Le commutateur HIGH permet dajuster laigu.
Avec un rglage +1, la plage de laigu est
accentue de 1,5 dB. Avec un rglage de 1,
laigu est attnu de 1,5 dB.

MSP5 Bedienungsanleitung
Vielen Dank, da Sie sich fr den MSP5 Monitorlautsprecher von Yamaha entschieden
haben. Der MSP5 ist als kompaktes Bareflexgehuse mit einem 12 cm-Zweiweg-Kegel-
lautsprecher sowie einer 2,5 cm-Kuppel aus Titan ausgefhrt. Dieses aktive Doppel-
verstrkersystem garantiert eine exzellente Klangqualitt und empfiehlt sich daher fr eine
Vielzahl von Einsatzbereichen, darunter Home Recording und der professionelle Einsatz.
Bitte lesen Sie sich diese Bedienungsanleitung vollstndig durch, um bei der Bedienung
Ihres MSP5 alles richtig zu machen und ber Jahre hinaus Freude an Ihrer Box haben.
Vorsichtsmanahmen
Verbinden Sie das Netzkabel dieses Gertes ausschlielich
mit einer Netzsteckdose, die den Angaben in dieser
Bedienungsanleitung entspricht. Tun Sie das nicht, so
besteht Brandgefahr.
Vermeiden Sie, da Wasser oder andere Flssigkeiten in das
Gerteinnere gelangen. Dann besteht nmlich Schlag- oder
Brandgefahr.
Stellen Sie keine schweren Gegenstnde (also auch nicht
dieses Gert) auf das Netzkabel. Ein beschdigtes Netzkabel
kann nmlich einen Stromschlag oder einen Brand verursa-
chen. Auch wenn das Netzkabel unter dem Teppich verlegt
wird, drfen Sie keine schweren Gegenstnde darauf
stellen.
Stellen Sie keine Behlter mit Flssigkeiten bzw. legen Sie
keine kleinen Metallgegenstnde auf das Gert. Wenn diese
nmlich in das Gerteinnere gelangen, besteht Brand- oder
Schlaggefahr.
Achten Sie darauf, da das Netzkabel weder beschdigt,
noch verdreht, gedehnt, erhitzt oder anderweitig beschdigt
wird. Bei Verwendung eines beschdigten Netzkabels
besteht nmlich Brand- oder Schlaggefahr.
Im Falle eines Gewitters sollten Sie das Gert so schnell wie
mglich ausschalten und den Netzanschluss lsen.
Wenn Sie die Mglichkeit eines Blitzeinschlages besteht,
drfen Sie auf keinen Fall das Netzkabel berhren, solange
es noch an die Steckdose angeschlossen ist. Sonst besteht
Stromschlaggefahr.
Dieses Gert darf vom Anwender nicht modifiziert werden.
Dabei bestehen nmlich Brand- und Schlaggefahr.
ffnen Sie niemals die Haube dieses Gertes, um sich nicht
unntig einem Stromschlag auszusetzen. Wenn Sie vermu-
ten, da das Gert nachgesehen, gewartet oder repariert
werden mu, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Hndler.
Wenn das Netzkabel beschdigt ist (d.h. wenn eine Ader
blank liegt), bitten Sie ihren Hndler um ein neues. Bei
Verwendung dieses Gertes mit einem beschdigten
Netzkabel bestehen Brand- und Schlaggefahr.
Wenn Ihnen etwas Abnormales auffllt, z.B. Rauch, starker
Geruch oder Brummen bzw. wenn ein Fremdkrper oder
eine Flssigkeit in das Gerteinnere gelangt, mssen Sie es
sofort ausschalten und den Netzanschlu lsen. Reichen Sie
das Gert anschlieend zur Reparatur ein. Verwenden Sie es
auf keinen Fall weiter, weil dann Brand- und Schlaggefahr
bestehen.
Wenn das Gert hinfllt bzw. wenn das Gehuse sichtbare
Schden aufweist, mssen Sie es sofort ausschalten, den
Netzanschlu lsen und sich an Ihren Hndler wenden. Bei
Nichtbeachtung dieses Hinweises bestehen Brand- und
Schlaggefahr.
Stellen Sie das Gert niemals an einen der folgenden Orte:
- Orte, wo l verspritzt wird bzw. wo es zu starker
Kondensbildung kommt, z.B. in der Nhe eines Herdes,
Luftbefeuchtigers usw.
- Unstabile Oberflchen, z.B. einen wackligen Tisch oder
abschssige Oberflchen.
- bermig heie Orte, z.B. in einem Auto, dessen Fenster
geschlossen sind oder Orte, die direkter Sonnenein-
strahlung ausgesetzt sind.
- bermig feuchte oder staubige Orte.
Legen Sie das Netzkabel niemals in die Nhe eines
Heizkrpers. Sonst kann es nmlich schmelzen, so da
Brand und Schlaggefahr bestehen.
Ziehen Sie beim Lsen des Netzanschlusses immer am
Stecker und niemals am Netzkabel. Sonst knnen nmlich
die Adern reien, so da Brand- oder Schlaggefahr besteht.
Berhren Sie das Netzkabel niemals mit feuchten Hnden.
Sonst besteht nmlich Schlaggefahr.
Vor dem Transport dieses Gertes mssen Sie es ausschal-
ten, den Netzanschlu lsen und alle Anschlukabel
entfernen. Beschdigte Kabel knnen zu Brand- oder
Schlaggefahr fhren.
Dieses Gert ist besonders schwer. Am besten bitten Sie
jemanden, Ihnen beim Transport zu helfen.
Schalten Sie alle Musikinstrumente, Audiogerte und Boxen
aus, bevor Sie sie an dieses Gert anschlieen. Verwenden
Sie ausschlielich geeignete Anschlukabel und befolgen
Sie die Anschluhinweise.
Stellen Sie die Lautstrke vor Einschalten dieses Gertes auf
den Mindestwert. Bei pltzlichem Einsetzen sehr lauter
Signale knnte nmlich Ihr Gehr beschdigt werden.
Geben Sie niemals ber einen lngeren Zeitraum verzerrte
Signale aus. Des kann nmlich zu einer Erhitzung der
Lautsprecher und zu Brand fhren.
Wenn Sie dieses Gert lngere Zeit nicht verwenden
mchten, z.B. weil Sie in Urlaub fahren, lsen Sie am besten
den Netzanschlu. Sonst besteht nmlich Brandgefahr.
Um zu vermeiden, da Sie beim Reinigen des Gertes einen
Stromschlag bekommen, sollten Sie vorher den Netzan-
schlu lsen.
Magnetisch abgeschirmt: Diese Box ist magnetisch abge-
schirmt. Wenn ein Bildschirm in der Nhe der Box jedoch
Probleme mit der Farbdarstellung hat, sollten Sie die Box
etwas weiter entfernt aufstellen.
Bei Verwendung eines Handys in der Nhe dieses Gertes
kann es zu Strungen kommen. Am besten verwenden Sie
ein Handy niemals in der Nhe dieses Gertes.
Die beiliegenden Gummife knnen verwendet werden,
um zu verhindern, dass das Gert verrutscht. Bringen Sie sie
am Gert an, wenn Sie es auf einen rutschigen Untergrund
stellen mchten.
Vielleicht merken Sie, dass aus den ffnungen des Gertes
Luft entweicht. Das ist nicht abnormal, fllt aber besonders
bei Signalen mit starkem Bassanteil auf.
Lassen Sie einen Abstand von mindestens 5 cm zwischen
diesem Gert und der Wand, damit die entstehende Wrme
entweichen kann. Auerdem sollten Sie zwischen diesem
und anderen Gerten ebenfalls diesen Mindestabstand
wahren. Lassen Sie oben 10 cm und an den Seiten 10 cm
freil. Bei ungengender Lftung kann es zu einem Wrme-
stau kommen, der zu Brandgefahr fhren kann.

3POWER-Schalter
Mit diesem Schalter knnen Sie den MSP5 ein-
und ausschalten. Ist der MSP5 eingeschaltet,
leuchtet die grne Netzanzeige auf der Vordersei-
te.
4TRIM-Schalter
Mit diesen Schaltern knnen Sie die Ba- und
Hhenwiedergabe des MSP5 einstellen.
LOW: vier Stnde
Mit dem LOW-Schalter bestimmen Sie die Ba-
wiedergabe. Die Einstellung +1 bedeutet, da
die Bsse um 1,5 dB angehoben werden. Die
Einstellung 1 bzw. 2 bedeutet, da die
Bsse um 1,5 dB bzw. 3 dB abgeschwcht wer-
den.

HIGH: drei Stnde
Mit dem HIGH-Schalter knnen Sie die Hhen-
wiedergabe einstellen. Der Wert +1 bedeutet,
da die Hhen um 1,5 dB angehoben werden. Bei
Anwahl von 1 werden die Hhen um 1,5 dB
abgeschwcht.

5INPUT-Buchsen
LINE 1
An diese XLR-Buchse kann ein symmetrisches
Line-Signal angeschlossen werden.

MSP5 Manual de instrucciones
Muchas gracias por la adquisicin del altavoz monitor MSP5 Yamaha. El MSP5 se caracteri-
za por una caja acstica reflectora de graves, con dos altavoces cnicos de dos vas de 12
cm y un altavoz de cpula de titanio de 2,5 cm. Este sistema de altavoces con doble ampli-
ficador reproduce fielmente el sonido y puede utilizarse para una amplia gama de aplica-
ciones, desde grabaciones personales en su hogar hasta utilizacin profesional seria. Lea
detenidamente esta gua para el usuario a fin de sacar el mximo partido de las funciones
de calidad de MSP5 durante mucho tiempo.
Precauciones
- Lugares expuestos a calor excesivo, como en el interior
de un automvil con las ventanillas cerradas, o en sitios
que reciban la luz solar directa.
- Lugares sometidos a humedad o a acumulacin excesiva
de polvo.
No coloque el cable de alimentacin cerca de un aparato
de calefaccin. Si se fundiese, podra producir descargas
elctricas o un incendio.
Para desconectar el cable de alimentacin del
tomacorriente de CA, tire del enchufe. No tire nunca del
propio cable. Un cable de alimentacin daado podra ser
la causa de descargas elctricas o de un incendio.
No toque nunca el enchufe con las manos desnudas. Si lo
hiciese, podra recibir una descarga elctrica.
Antes de reubicar la unidad, desconecte su alimentacin,
extraiga el enchufe del tomacorriente de CA, y despus
desenchufe todos los cables conectores. Los cables daados
podran causar el riesgo de descargas elctricas o de un
incendio.
Esta unidad es pesada. Para transporta, pida ayuda a otra
persona o ms.
Antes de conectar la unidad, desconecte todos los instru-
mentos musicales, equipos de audio, y altavoces. Utilice los
cables conectores correctos y conctelos como est
especificado.
Antes de desconectar la alimentacin de la unidad, ponga
el control de volumen al mnimo. La salida repentina del
sonido podra daar sus odos.
No reproduzca sonidos distorsionados durante mucho
tiempo, ya que podra sobrecalentar el altavoz y provocar el
riesgo de un incendio.
Cuando no vaya a utilizar esta unidad durante mucho
tiempo, como al ir de vacaciones, desenchufe el cable de
alimentacin del tomacorriente de CA. Si lo dejase
conectado, supondra el riesgo de incendio.
Para evitar descargas elctrica cuando limpie la unidad,
desenchufe el cable de alimentacin del tomacorriente de CA.
Tipo sin apantallamiento magntico: Coloque este altavoz a
un metro o ms del monitor. De lo contrario, el monitor
podra mostrar colores anormales.
La utilizacin de un telfono mvil cerca de esta unidad
puede inducir ruido. Si se produce ruido, utilice el telfono
alejado de la unidad.
Los topes de goma entregados con este paquete pueden
utilizarse para evitar que el dispositivo se deslice. Coloque
estos topes en la unidad cuando la utilice en una superficie
resbaladiza.
Observar que entra y sale aire de los puertos del dispositi-
vo. Esto es normal. Se nota ms cuando toca un programa
con un intervalo menor ampliado.
Deje una distancia de 5 cm entre la unidad y la pared para
que el calor generado por la unidad pueda disiparse
efectivamente. Adems, deje espacio suficiente entre la
unidad y otros dispositivos. Deje un espacio de 10 cm sobre
el panel superior, y de 10 cm de los paneles laterales. Si el
calor no se disipa adecuadamente, la unidad lo retendr, y
es posible que provoque un incendio.
Conecte el cable de alimentacin de esta unidad solamente
a un tomacorriente de CA del tipo indicado en este manual
de instrucciones, o marcado en la unidad. Si no lo hiciese,
se podra provocar el riesgo de descargas elctricas o de un
incendio.
No permita que entre agua dentro de la unidad, ni que sta
se humedezca. Esto podra resultar en descargas elctricas.
No coloque objetos pesados, incluyendo esta unidad, sobre
ningn cable de alimentacin. Un cable de alimentacin
daado podra provocar el riesgo de descargas elctricas o
de un incendio. En especial, tenga cuidado de no colocar
objetos pesados sobre un cable de alimentacin cubierto
por una alfombra.
No coloque recipientes con lquidos no objetos metlicos
pequeos sobre la unidad. Si dentro de la unidad entrasen
lquidos u objetos metlicos, se podran producir descargas
elctricas o un incendio.
No raye, doble, retuerza, tire, ni caliente el cable de
alimentacin. Un cable de alimentacin daado podra
causar descargas elctricas o un incendio.
En caso de que vaya a producirse una tormenta elctrica,
desconecte la alimentacin de la unidad y desenchufe el
cable de alimentacin del tomacorriente lo antes posible.
Si existe la posibilidad de que caiga un rayo, no toque el
cable de alimentacin si est conectado. Si lo hiciese
podra recibir una descarga elctrica.
No modifique la unidad. Si lo hiciese, supondra el riesgo
de descargas elctricas o de un incendio.
No extraiga la cubierta de la unidad. Podra sufrir una
descarga elctrica. Si cree que su unidad necesita repararse,
pngase en contacto con su proveedor.
Si el cable de alimentacin est daado (es decir, cortado o
con conductores al descubierto), solicite a su proveedor que
se lo reemplace. La utilizacin de la unidad con el cable de
alimentacin daado podra suponer el riesgo de descargas
elctricas o de un incendio.
Si nota cualquier anormalidad, como humo, olores, o ruido,
o si algn objeto extrao ha cado dentro de la unidad,
desconecte inmediatamente su alimentacin. Desenchufe el
cable de alimentacin del tomacorriente de CA. Solicite la
reparacin de la unidad a su proveedor. La utilizacin de la
unidad en estas condiciones podra suponer el riesgo de
descargas elctricas o de un incendio.
Si esta unidad se han cado, o si la caja se ha daado,
desconecte la alimentacin, desconecte el enchufe de
alimentacin del tomacorriente de CA, y pngase en
contacto con su proveedor. Si continuase utilizando la
unidad sin haber tenido en cuente estas instrucciones,
podra recibir descargas elctricas.
Mantenga esta unidad alejada de los lugares siguientes:

Este interruptor conecta y desconecta la alimenta-
cin del MSP5. Cuando ponga este interruptor en
ON, se encender el indicador de alimentacin
verde del panel frontal.
4Selectores de ajuste (TRIM)
Estos interruptores le permitirn ajustar los graves
y los agudos para el MSP5.
LOW: cuatro posiciones
El selector LOW le permitir ajustar la gama de
graves. Con el ajuste +1, la gama de graves se
reforzar 1,5 dB. Con los ajustes de 1 y 2,
la gama de graves se cortar 1,5 dB.
