ADITIONAL ACADEMIC INFORMATION
Bachelor Thesis (EUITA): "Repowering of an A320 for intercontinental flights"
My thesis of BEng consisted of designing a turbofan for A320 could perform intercontinental flights. After design the mission I chosen the design point and calculated the performance for the compressor, combustion chamber, turbine and nozzle. To this I used AeDsys and Gassturb 9.0 programs. I have learned how to perform a preliminary design of a turbofan. It has helped me improve my engineering skills and be able to cope with to perform and manage a project.
Participation in International Graduate Summer School in Aeronautics and Astronautics 2014, Beihang University (Beijing, China).
Postgraduate course in CEPADE-UPM: "Institutions, Economics and Policies of the European Union". "Business Finance and Stock Market Analysis".
Participation in ATHENS program at the following courses:
o "Introduction to Wind Turbine Aerodynamics", Delft University of Technology. o "Physics of Extreme Systems, Czech Technical University (Prague). o Wind Energy, Katholieke University of Leuven (Belgium).
WORK EXPERIENCE
01/09/14 Research Engineer at Masdar Company, Abu Dhabi.
Currently I am working like researcher in ceramics materials. My main field is coating blades for turbines. I and my team are trying to develop new material like thermal barrier for increase the performance of high pressure turbine for aircrafts engines.
01/07/13-18/08/13: Internship at Manipal Institute of Technology, India.
This internship was in Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering College of Manipal in India. My main role was crash analysis of aircraft wing. I have worked with Ansys-Explicit Dynamics & Autodyn programs. This internship has helped me to understand the importance of these computer programs in engineering and how analyze and simulate a dynamic problem.
01/03/13-01/05/13: Internship at Deutecno S.L-Repsol, Madrid. This internship was at the Technology Center of Repsol Company. I have worked at the Vortex Project. My main roll was the optimization of the external geometry of the structure (maximization of the available energy in the wind) to view the appearance of vortex in all sections of the structure. For this I have used the Ansys Fluent program and also I studied the aeroelastic phenomena that affects to this optimum geometry.
