Instructions

This spreadsheet can be used to evaluate the MMLOS for one direction of travel on an urban street for up to five segments at a time.
The following is a description of each tab in this spreadsheet
-Does not analyze MMLOS at intersections, only provides MMLOS results along the roadway
-LOS+ only analyzes one direction of travel and up to 5 roadway segments at a time
-LOS+ and the HCM2010 methodology in general work best when the segment boundary intersections are signalized or side-street stop controlled. The auto and transit MMLOS methodologies arent intended to analyze all-way stop or roundabout controlled boundary intersections.
-Pedestrian and bicycle methodologies cannot model grades in excess of 2%
-Does not model pedestrian over-crossings
-Analysis time period limited to 1 hour, LOS+ can analyze 15 minute increments with volume data converted to hourly flow rates
-Pedestrian LOS does not consider roadway crossing difficulties
LOS+ spreadsheet created by Fehr & Peers

Version
Input_SegData Contains the user-specified inputs related to volume and auto traffic operations data on the study roadway segment(s)
Input_Xsection Contains the user-specified inputs related to the roadway cross-section data
Input_Transit Contains the user-specified inputs related to the transit operations and facilities on the study roadway segment(s)
offers the avantage of being less data-intensive.
LOS+ Mutimodal Level of Service for Urban Streets
Auto LOS Method Consistent with the NCHRP Project 3-70 Multimodal Level of Service For Urban Streets Methodology
Pedestrian, Bicycle and Transit LOS Methods Consistent with Chapter 17 of the Highway Capacity Manual 2010 Methodologies
This spreadsheet was created to assist in the computation of the link-based MMLOS for urban streets under existing, field measured conditions.
As such, this spreadsheet is not designed to estimate the MMLOS at the intersection level, but instead provides a link-based evaluation, which
1.0
MMLOS_Engine Contains the MMLOS computational engine, users are discouraged fromchanging the inputs to this tab
Results Contains a summary of the link-based MMLOS results for each study segment
