Statement of the Problem.
Our current problem with the decreasing economy and loss of sense of security while
using banks our clients need to be reassured that their investments are safe with us. We need to
find a way to demonstrate to the clients that regardless of the depression that our economy is
experiencing their funds will remain safe and accessible to them from beginning of their
experience through the time they decide to part ways with us and invest elsewhere, while also
presenting cause for them to not want to leave us.
Hypothesis or Hypotheses to be Proved or Disproved.
We hypothesis that we are going to be losing our customer due to a fear that there will be
another crash in the stock market leading to banks losing all the money they are entrusted with.
We also hypothesis that the age group that is most likely to be our greatest loss in the 60+ due to
the fact they were still old enough for their grandparents to reminisce about the first great stock
market crash.
Nature of Data to be Gathered and Analyzed
We need to analyze the reason customers have stopped joining our institution as well as
what age groups seem to be getting effected the most. We will survey our customers through
their visits with our tellers to ensure that there is a response to the survey.
Research method and Sources of Information
As we look at how we are growing our customer basis we can see that in recent months
that our growth has stopped at that we are actually starting to lose customers. After completing
surveys we have found this is a result of a growing fear in our customers that their investments
are not safe long term. If we look at the graph that is attached we will see that the age group that

is being effected the most is the 56+ age group, with the reasoning that they have gained a
distrust for governmental agencies.

RESEARCH STUDIES 6

I chose to use these to graphs to depict the research and surveys conducted due to the fact
that they best show the loss and gain of customers as well as keeping track of the amount of
customers. The third chart also depicts the main reasons we found we the cause of customers
overall decision for leaving.
