PURPOSE
CONFIGURING GUIDELINES
CONFIGURATION LEGEND
The proper model confguration that meets a customers workplace requirements is important in building a
strong sales relationship.
To attain this goal, the Confguration Guide provides confguration charts for available models by identifying
each main or base unit and the options that can be added to achieve the best application that addresses the
customers business needs.
Proposing one model when another model would be better suited to the workplace needs and more cost
effective.
Advising use of additional paper drawers when their output needs do not warrant them.
Be sure to include in your recommendation the correct required item for an added option.
E.g. Saddle-Stitch Finisher requires a Paper Pass Unit for the MX-4110/4111/5110/5111N
E.g. XPS Expansion Kit requires the 1GB Memory Upgrade for the MX-4110/4111/5110/5111N
Not advising to add a Right Side Exit Tray as a recommended option.
Selecting the wrong Punch Unit.

n Verify power dedication and check for power stability. The MX-2615N/MX-3115N Document System
requires AC 100-127 VAC, 60 HZ, 12 Amps power source.
n Conrm that you have the latest rmware available to upgrade your MX-2615N/MX-3115N Document
System immediately.
n Some accessories require a product key for operation. You should obtain the accessory Application Code,
machines serial number and register online prior to arrival.
n Verify that the customer has enough supplies on-hand to complete a large rush job. After-hours printing
and/or holiday work may take place following an installation.
n Check to see if My Sharp online training is set up for the end-user.

Conguration B: High Capacity Stacking
This conguration requires the MX-RB18 and
one MX-ST10. An additional MX-ST10 can be added,
but is not required. Each MX-ST10 includes one
MX-CA10 Paper Cart. Additional paper carts can
be ordered for convenience. The MX-SL10 Status
Indicator can be added to any conguration.

Conguration A: 50-sheet Staple Finishing
This conguration requires the MX-M904 and the
MX-FN24 or MX-FN25. The MX-FN24 cannot be used
with the MX-FN25. The MX-PNX4B can be added, but
cannot be used alone. These items cannot be combined
with items from other nishing congurations.

Conguration C: Basic 100-sheet Staple Finishing
This conguration requires the MX-RB18 and the MX-FN21 or MX-FN22.
The MX-FN21 cannot be used with the MX-FN22. The MX-BM50 requires
the MX-FN21 and MX-PCB50. The MX-FD50 must be connected to the
MX-TM50. The MX-SL10 Status Indicator can be added to any conguration.

Conguration D: Advanced 100-sheet Staple Finishing
This conguration requires the MX-RB18 and an MX-FN21 or MX-FN22.
The MX-CF11, both MX-ST10s, MX-GBCX2, MX-FD10, and Plockmatic Production Booklet Maker System are all optional.
The MX-GBCX2 requires the MX-RB13.
The MX-RB13 or MX-FD10 is required to connect a 100-sheet nisher and 2-Tray Inserter Unit directly.
The MX-FN21 cannot be used with the MX-FN22.
The MX-BM50 requires the MX-FN21.
The MX-FD50 must be connected to the MX-TM50.
The MX-SL10 Status Indicator can be added to any conguration.
