Principle 1

Concern for people is the main aim of the efforts, supporting sustainable development. They are
entitled to a healthy and productive life in harmony with nature.
Principle 2
Accordant with the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law, states
have the sovereign right to exploit their own resources, correspondent to their environmental and
developmental politics and they are responsible for ensuring that their activities within their
jurisdiction or control do not cause damage to other states or regions environment beyond the
national jurisdiction.
Principle 3
The right to development must be exercised so as to ensure equitable want satisfaction of present
and future generations in the development and environment fields.
Principle 4
To achieve sustainable development environmental protection should constitute an integral part
of developmental process and cannot be considered in isolation from it.
Principle 5
All states and all nations collaborate in solving the pressing problem of poverty alleviation, that
is a necessary condition of sustainable development, in order to decrease dissolution between
standards of living and more effectively satisfy wants of the majority of the people of the world.
Principle 6
The special status and needs of developing countries first of all least developed and ecologically
more vulnerable are put special emphasis. International actions in environment area and
development must be also aimed on satisfying wants of all counties.
Principle 7
States collaborate in keeping with the global partnership to conserve, protect and restore the
health and integrality on the Earths ecosystem. As a consequence of a different contribution to
the decreasing of global environment condition, the states have common but dissimilar
responsibility. The developed countries accept their liability in the context of international efforts
to pursuit sustainable development in recognition of environmental stress, created by their
societies and of technologies and financial resources they have.
Principle 8
To achieve sustainable development and a higher quality of life for all people, States should limit
and eliminate unsustainable models of production and consumption and patronize appropriate
demographic policies.

Principle 9
States should collaborate to strengthen the activities aimed at the national capacity building to
insure sustainable development through academic development, reached by scientific exchange
and extension of researches and development, adaptation, technological transfer and expansion,
including new and innovative technologies.
Principle 10
Environmental issues are settled in the most effective way and at the appropriate level involving
all concerned people. At the national level each person should have a relevant access to
information, concerning the environment that is at governments disposal, including the
information about hazardous material and activities in their communities, and the opportunity to
participate in the processes of decision-making. States are to develop and to encourage
community awareness and participation through wide information providing. Effective
opportunity to use judicial and administrative proceedings, including repayment andremedies, is
ensured.
