A FRIENDSHIP A CUT
ABOVE THE REST
Georgina Fensom and Laura
Cooper have been friends for
over a decade and what started
as a mutual passion for hair and
beauty has motivated them to
start their own hair and beauty
salon in Baldock, with over
200 people turning up to the
launch. They discovered their
talent studying together on a
hairdressing course at NHC.
INDEBTED TO NHC
The course helped the duo
develop their business skills
along side the practical aspects
of the training, setting them up
to run their own business. North
Hertfordshire College inspired
me to want my own business
Georgie explains. The girls also
found NHC a great place to learn.
Georgie says I had a really good
experience at college. I liked
all my tutors and made a lot of
friends
WORKING TOGETHER
THROUGH THE YEARS
After NHC Laura and Georgie
successfully worked their way
up from juniors, to junior stylists
and then senior stylists. Laura
and Georgie then decided it was
time to open their own salon. The
decision was not taken lightly
and they found the experience
challenging but also highly
rewarding. The girls enjoy nights
out on the town and regular
shopping trips but still maintain a
great business team.
