Glossary

Methodology is the systematic, theoretical analysis of the methods applied to a field of


study. It comprises the theoretical analysis of the body of methods and
principles associated with a branch of knowledge. Typically, it
encompasses concepts such as paradigm, theoretical model, phases and
quantitative or qualitative techniques

Method An established, habitual, logical, or
prescribed practice or systematic process of achieving certain ends
with accuracy and efficiency, usually in an ordered sequence of fixed
steps.

Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which the knowledge, skills,
and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the
next through teaching, training, or research. Education frequently takes
place under the guidance of others, but may also
be autodidactic. Any experience that has a formative effect on the way
one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational. Education is
commonly divided into stages such as preschool, primary
school, secondary school and then college, university or apprenticeship.

Transition
in special education programs is the movement from program to another.
Transitions can be: from one grade classroom to another; from one school
to another; from one program to another; or from school to
postsecondary, college, vocational program, or other program.
Approach
A set of assumptions about language teaching which involve the nature of
language, learning, teaching
Ability
An inherent or acquired faculty for doing or achieving something. In
typical educational practice, the terms abilities and aptitudes are used
interchangeably to denote an individuals potential for acquiring and

Annotation of the State Program of Education Development in the Republic
of Kazakhstan for 2011- 2020

APPROVED by the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated
December 7, 2010 No 1118
The state program is a regulatory document management, describing the
achievements, challenges, goals and objectives, key deliverables and development
trends from 2011 to 2020.
The main goal of the state program is increasing competitiveness of education and
development of human capital through ensuring access to quality education for
sustainable economic growth.
The program aims to perform basic tasks - improving the quality and accessibility
of education at all levels of training, education moral, socially adapted people who
can make their own responsible decisions in the choice situation, predicting their
possible consequences, people who are able to cooperate, mobile, design, with a
strong sense of responsibility for the country.
The Program will be implemented in two stages: first stage: 2011 2015 second
stage: 2016 2020.

In the program traces the emergence of 12 years of education are considered its key
stages of transition. Program addresses the issues of inclusive education. The program
is summarized new material on the subject in question, introduced into scientific
circulation improving the monitoring of the development of education, including the
establishment of a national education statistics in accordance with international
requirements. Considerable attention is paid to creating conditions for the introduction
of automation of the educational process and increase the network of preschool
institutions.

The Decree entered into force on 1 January 2011.

Language Learning Strategies in FLL and FLT

We know that Language Learning Strategies play an important role in second
language learning as they promote and facilitate language learning. Language
Learning Strategies in language learning it is a way in which a leaner attempts to
work out the meanings and uses of words, grammatical rules , abilities to speak the
language and other aspects of a language, for example by the use generalization
and inference.
Learning strategies are defined as thoughts or activities that assist in enhancing
learning out comes. According to R. Oxford we know two types of LLS. There are:
direct strategies and indirect strategies. Also they are subdivided into 6 groups.
Direct strategies are classified into: memory strategies, cognitive strategies and
compensation strategies.
Indirect strategies are classified into: metacognitive strategies, affective
strategies and social strategies.
The language learning strategies are special ways to help people to realize, to
learn, and to memorize new knowledge. Teachers cannot always teach him by his
side throughout his life, so these strategies play an important role in developing
learner autonomy. Learners can make the best use of these strategies to establish
the ability of self-directed learning. If people use these strategies efficiently, they
can learn by themselves and self-examine their own progress.
