3 Full Write Permissions in AppV 5.0 P2 !ot"ix #$
)ost of the Applications which were se,uenced using AppV 5.0 $P2 failed due to
prohibitory write permissions to Virtual /ile $ystem 0V/$1. 2ater on" with the release
of 3otfi* 4 for AppV 5.0 $P2 it was noticed that one can hae full write permissions to V/$.

Virtual File %stem$ 5hile se,uencing an Application using AppV 5.0" you will get a window
where you would be re,uired to proide the PVA' 6Primary Virtual Application
'irectory7. This is the location where all the Primary Assets of your Application will
be copied. All the /iles outside the PVA' will be considered as V/$.
There will be a checkbo* aailable under the Adanced tab in the Package 8ditor 6The
one which you&ll get when you edit an .AppV Package7 as shown in the $creenshot
below. %y default" this setting will be disabled. !f you check this option" Package will
gain 5rite Access to V/$ 2ocations.



!t is recommended to enable this setting in the appt /ile" which will enable all the
applications that you hae se,uenced using this Template.
