Who is William Shakespeare?


William Shakespeare a famous English poet is viewed as the greatest
dramatist of all time. He was born on the 23
rd
of April, 1564 placed at
Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom. William Shakespeare was
baptized at the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon on the 26
April, 1564.He was the first son of Mary and John Shakespeare. As a
child William had lived in a house at Henley Street, Stratford. William
has eight brothers and sisters altogether. Williamss birth place goes
the same with the other siblings.
William attended school at King Edward VI School from the age of
seven in 1571.King Edward high would start at 6 am in the morning
and end at 5pm in the afternoon including a two hour break in
between. William Shakespeare has been taught Latin at school. Latin
was the heart of all subjects at that school and had to be memorised
by long passages of Latin pose. When William Shakespeare was
fourteen his parents told him to move schools which meant that
William and the rest of his family will have no contact until his
marriage day. William Shakespeare then did not just sit around doing
nothing he had A LOT to do. He worked at the farm of Anne
Hathaways brother. When William was eighteen he married a
twenty six year old maid Anne Hathaway.
William Shakespeares theatre-Globe theatre:
William Shakespeares theatre (the globe theatre) was built in 1599
in Southwark. The building was made by timber, nails, stone (flint),
plaster and thatched wood. The building was built by carpenter Peter
Smith and his workers. This theatre had an octagonal shape. There
was no heating and no toilets. People had to go outside and dig holes
as a toilet. It took around 6 months to complete building this
building. The building had the dimensions of 20 foot wide and 15
foot deep. The stage had the dimensions of 4-5 foot and was
benefited by large pillars. The floor of the stage was made of wood
sometimes covered with rushes.
