1. WOMENS ISSUES

a. Pay Equity

Amedore voted against pay equity legislation at least TEN times.
His position on the issue is so extreme, in fact, that on one of the measures (A957-
2008) Amedore was one of only three NO votes in the 150 member Assembly.

b. Protecting Victims of Domestic Violence

Amedore voted against at least FOUR measures that would protect domestic
violence victims and punish abusive offenders. (A7575-2009; A7575- 2010;
A4488 2011 and A4488-2012).
He was also one of only six NO votes in the Assembly on a bill to provide
hospital staff training and services to better assist victims of domestic violence.

c. Sexual Harassment

Amedore voted at least twice against legislation that would protect women from
sexual harassment (Assembly bill A.8195-A in 2011 and A.1470-B, Chapter 481

d. Reproductive Health

Amedore Said That He Was Pro-Life With No Exceptions. On the public radio
show Capitol Pressroom on Oct. 15, Amedore said he was pro-life. Asked if that
meant no exceptions, he responded, No exceptions. (Gannett News Service,

2. ENVIRONMENT

Amedore Was The Least Environmentally Conscious Member Of The
Legislature According To Scores Calculated By EPL/Environmental Advocates, A
Public-Interest Lobbying Group.

SUPPORT FOR FRACKING and OIL and GAS COMPANIES
Amedore voted against a bill that would require oil and gas companies to disclose
the toxic chemicals used in their fracking fluids. He also voted against a measure
that would allow localities to zone for any drilling within their boundaries. (Times

OPPOSITION TO SMART GROWTH
Amedore Was One Of Only A Handful Of Lawmakers Who Opposed A Smart
Growth Bill That Would Curb Urban Sprawl.
Assemblyman George Amedore, a Republican from Rotterdam and vice president
of Amedore Homes, was one of just a handful of lawmakers who opposed the
bill. He said today's open field is tomorrow's thriving and popular suburb. (Times

3. PROTECTING NEW YORK JOBS AND WORKERS

Outsourcing Jobs
Assemblyman George Amedore voted against the Save New York Call Centers
Jobs Act of 2012, which would have ended tax benefits for companies that
outsource 30 percent or more of their call-center business to foreign countries.

4. PROTECTING HOMEBUYERS

George voted against the Mortgage Applicants Bill of Rights (A.10219-2008)
which would protect homebuyers from unscrupulous mortgage brokers.

He also voted against A 8972 2008, which would require mortgage brokers to act
in borrowers best interest and disclose all facts that might affect borrowers rights.
