ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Group Member 1:

Managerial Roles:

-Define specific goals or the group over a time period following the

plans set initially by the group.

-Follow-up the group members making sure things are done at the right

time in order to achieve the set objectives.

-Solving conflict issue within the group and applying final veto power
when critically needed.
-Organize meetings with supervisors and external bodies when necessary.
-Approve agendas and decisions within the group.

Technical Roles:

- Research on existing briquetting machines and their challenges.
- Calculations regarding dimensions of the design components.
- Solid drawing presentation of the design.
- Monitoring fabrication of the final design.

Group Member 2:

Managerial Roles:

- Organizes official meetings (outside emergency meetings) for the group,
coming up with meeting agendas.
- Keeps records of meeting activities.
- Keeps records of decisions made within the group.
- Keeps records of research and calculations of every group member
Technical Roles:

- Research on sawdust and binders as briquette materials.
- Material stress and strength calculations as well as final dimensions of the
briquette.
- Isometric drawings presentation.
- Monitoring fabrication of final design.


Group Member 3:

Managerial Roles:

- Keeps financial records of the group.
- Plans timely purchase of necessary materials and equipment.
- Forecasts future group expenditures.

Technical Roles:

- Research on hydraulic systems.
- Calculations on forces and specifications of the hydraulic system.
- Orthographic drawings presentation.
- Monitoring of the hydraulic system.












INTRODUCTION

For each group to function properly, a lot of planning and organization comes in to

play. This involves defining roles and responsibilities for each member to carry out.

In order to fulfill the set objectives of this group, it was necessary to divide individual

roles managerially and technically.


The managerial roles, involve a highlight of the specific personal task put in by each

member. These are management like activities to be carried out by each member

considering their personal qualities. This group therefore set aside three managerial

positions including,

- The leadership position

- Organizing secretary position

- Financial secretary position

Following the engineering consideration of our project, it also necessitated the need

for the group to share out technical roles for each member of the group. In sharing

technical responsibilities, the group divided the project work activities into four major

areas including,

- Research

- Design calculation

- Design drawings

- Design fabrication.


Following this breakdown, the group was able to share out responsibilities between its

members in a fair, well planned and shared manner.
