2 Important Information




2.1 Installation


OSC4K V7 integrated installation

The V7 integrated version can be installed via FirstInstallationWizard (version R1.8.0) it installs the CSTA
R1.206.0


2.2 Upgrade / Update


2.2.1 From Hipath 4000 V6

Upgrade from HP4K V6 R1/R2 version to OSC4K V7 R1 is not possible.


2.2.2 From OpenScape 4000 V7 R0

Precondition: activate Assistant HF5 (V7 R0.14.5) (which is mandatory anyway) before RLC transfer.


2.3 Fallback

Via Assistant Deactivate the HF upgrade can be rolled back.

Performance measurement test proof that
In case 2000 Phone Services users configured in the database of OpenScape 4000 CSTA V7, and
from those if 100 devices/users using simultaneously the EasyLookup (open data pathes)
then the menu display reaction time is in an acceptable interval (3-4 seconds)
(This means that 100 data path can be used in the same time.)

4 Restrictions, Workarounds and Hints

4.1 Restrictions


4.1.1 Limitation of RouteRegistration

Such applications which are using CSTA Route Register Request need a to connect to different Connectivity
Adapters, if they are using the same device.
Only one Route Registration allowed to a device per Connectivity Adapter.
Of course on the same Connectivity Adapter next to a RouteRegistration user application any other
application can connects which is not using the RouteRegistration functioanlity.
(Remark: Currently 4 application-connections are supported per Connectivity Adapters.)


4.1.2 Restriction for ACL direct connectivity

From HiPath 4000 V6 all CSTA applications must use the CA4000 adaptor of the integrated HiPath
4000 CSTA via customer LAN port. This includes HiPath CAP V3.0 when used.
Applications using direct ACL connectivity via Atlantic LAN are no longer supported.


4.1.3 Restriction for UserToUser

There is new config entry for cbdriver: ALLOW_UUI_IN_PRIVATE_DATA for activate this new
feature it should be set to 1.
If this entry is missing, then the feature UserToUser is turned off.


4.1.4 Important Note for RLC V7 R1.3 and later:

Starting RLC V7 R1.3, please use OpenScape4000V70 instead of HiPath400070 as
RLC root directory - OpenScape4000V70\hhd300\csta.


4.1.5 Multiple Web Admin Login is not allowed

At the same time is not allowed to Login into HiPath 4000 CSTA Web Admin from two or more
different places, only from one place, because it causes request-conflicts and maulfuntion of the
software. In addition in the browser is not allowed to use 2 (or more) Tab for the CSTA GUI.


4.1.6 Restriction for Offered mode

The default value of the parameter CALLOFM in XAPPL 56 is activated, which causes delayed ringing
of the monitored phones.
A manual change of the offered mode is also possible on CSTA GUI. The parameter CALLOFM in
AMO-XAPPL can be added or deleted with it. The checkbox shows the current state checked when
the CBDriver window is loaded. Pressing Change is possible only when the checkboxs state is
different from the result of the DISPLAY result of AMO-XAPPL re-checked before modification.
