Objectives : At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to;

Teacher gives example of brochure and discuss with the class. Teacher discusses how to write a brochure and pupils write their own brochure in groups with their own creativity. Teacher gives some guidance for them to write their brochure. Pupils present their work and displayed their product in the English corner. Teachers evaluate their work and choose the winner. Teacher highlights moral value an encourage them to travel in the country and love the nature.

Set Induction ( 5 minutes) - Teacher recall back about interesting places they already discuss in the previous lesson - Teacher asks pupils to unjumble the word SARAWAK on the whiteboard Yes, we are going to read and write about one example of interesting place in Sarawak today. - Arouse interest - letter word 2. Pre- writing ( 15 minutes) - Teacher distributes example of brochure about Sarawak to the class to look and read - Teacher discusses with pupils why brochures are written and what makes them attractive E.g To give tourists information about interesting places to visit, names of hotels, telephone numbers of hotels, prices of rooms. They are colourful and informative. - Pupils read the content of the brochure and scan for specific information - Teacher discusses with pupils the content of a travel brochure E.g Name of place, location, how to get there and interesting facts - Pupils give responses and write on the board - Teacher discuss about any vocabulary they do not understand E.g Glimpse, culture, lifestyle, wild, beauty, folk, tribal, souvenir, accommodations, experience etc - Identifying for specific information - Generating ideas

While- writing (25 minutes) - In groups of 3-4 pupils, teacher asks pupils to arrange sentences halves about Sarawak and paste it on the manila card in front. - Teacher discusses with pupils steps to write a brochure E.g State the name of place, where it is, what is interesting about it and how one can get there (must have accurate fact and be helpful to reader) - In the same groups, pupils make their own brochure using the sentences they already arrange - Pupils decorate and add more information in their brochures - Cooperation
