Quick facts: In Nov 2010, local industrial and
infrastructure conglomerate PT Bosowa Corp began
construction on this IPP at Pungaya, Bangkala, Kab
J eneponto. The project was completed by SPV PT
Bosowa Makassar at a cost of about $250mn with
Chinas Chengda acting as lead EPC contractor. Bosowa
has a 200-MW PPA with PLN for the Phase-I plant at US
5.5 cents/kWh excluding fuel costs. The project took only
19mos to complete according to the owner, a substantial
improvement over the original 30mo schedule.

Quick facts: This power station is associated with the
largest single-site coal mine in the southern hemishpere,
located in Tabalong and Balangan districts. Annual
production is on the order of 40mn typy of ultra
low-sulfur, moderate CV subbituminous coal. The new
TPP replaces a 20-MW diesel plant. Electricity will be
used to power the converyor system and other mine and
handling infrastructure as well as the local grid. The
development company is Adaro subsidiary PT Makmur
Sejahtera Wisesa (MSW). The project cost about
$160mn. Fuel burn is expected to be about 300,000 tpy.

Quick facts: In May 2008, CNTIC and PT Rekayasa
Industri signed contracts with PLN for PLTU Teluk Sirih in
Kec Bungu, 30km south of Padang. In Nov 2010, CNTIC
contracted with Nanjing Turbines for a pair of 112-MW
T/G sets for the coastal project. Commissioning for Unit-1
began in Nov 2013. The project was partially financed by
China Development Bank.
