W ith a fast network, na- tionwide coverage and outstanding customer support, AT&T has, once again, been a hit with customers. This year, the mobile phone car- rier was selected by readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette as Best Mobile Phone Services in the newspa- pers Best of Central Arkansas readers poll. Also, more than $180 million in local and state taxes were generated by AT&T operations in Arkan- sas in 2012. Advancing Project Velocity IP, a three-year investment plan to expand and enhance AT&Ts wireless network and wired IP broadband networks, AT&T in 2013 made 541 network up- grades in Arkansas, including new cell sites, addition of wireless and wired net- work capacity, and new broadband net- work connections. Additionally, AT&T expanded the reach of its network, providing access to U-verse Internet and video services to nearly 20,000 new customer locations and delivering pow- erful fiber-optic connections to 1,432 business locations at 50 multi-tenant business buildings and business parks in Arkansas. AT&T is making robust investments locally to make sure that residents can take full advantage of the latest services and tools, and that Arkansas businesses have the connectivity speeds to com- pete globally, and that our schools have the broadband speed needed to provide a world-class curriculum to their stu- dents, Collier said. While connecting its customers to each other is a top priority for AT&T, the com- pany also wants to connect its customers to its employees. At its retail locations, AT&T hires the best and brightest to pro- vide an outstanding customer experience while in-store.
