INCREASING STUDENTS INTEREST IN READING is the title of my speech today. But before talking
further about it, let me introduce my self first. I am _______ from _________________________________________

Ladies and Gentlemen.
People in Indonesia have a different character in each region and so do the students at school. And about
reading culture, Media often publishes it as their participation in brightening the future. And it is about
students low interest in reading.
Based on survey held by UNESCO, It shows us what we dont want to see. Namely, Indonesians reading
interest is placed on the last position in ASEAN. We should feel sorry about that my friends. Because as
the observation stated that, this condition has become the main factor why we are very difficult to hold a
competition with other countries.

Ladies and gentlemen
Actually, here are some benefits we will get through reading. We expose our self to a new thing, new
information, new ways to solve a problem and a new way to achieve one thing. Who knows, we might find
our new hobbies with it. Who knows, we might actually explore one thing we really like and it may end
up becoming our career and success in the future. So, exploration begins from reading and
understanding.

Ladies and gentlemen
To get success, we should be able to hold the world. We know book is the window of the world and
reading is a key to open the world. Because as far we know, books are the quietest and most contant of
friends. They are more accesible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.
Before taking action on anything, where should we seek for help and guidance? Reading is an essential
way which can help us out. Todays world, getting review or feedback for other people can make a big
impact on our next decision and the pros and cons of each choice. These all can help you become more
prepared before we really get into it. I can give the illustration.

things, which build a more solid stair for us to climb up achieving something big out there.

most important tools we use everyday to connect each other. Whereas if we dont read, we cant even
connect with theworld.

I have some conclusions about my title today :
1. Reading can let us know new thing such as new experience, new information and knowledge that
help us to be success.
2. To hold it world is a successful man's dream. Reading really gives a hand for it because the book is
the window of the world and reading is a key to open the world.
3. To be success, we should arrange the good steps and reading is one of the steps to build more
solid stairs for us to climb up achieving something big out there.
4. A success man must be able to join with some other success men. There's a tool which make it run
smoothly namely communication and reading provides the way to make it.

I think, thats all about my delivering speech, I do hope for we all, the learners can make reading as one of
our hobbies because reading is a key to success. And its completely enough for me to this point. The
