A Literature Review on the evolution of the internet
The internet has revolutionized the way people communicates, as nothing ever before, the people is
free of communicate with one fourth of the world population instantly trough endless channels, this has
created a series of changes among the society in general, already helped revolutions. In developed
countries, the internet is basically everywhere, in the Nordic countries reaching up to a 90% of the
population. In America this percentage goes to 77, which means 242 million Americans have easy access
to the web, and this number goes up faster than ever the average in the world is a 34.3% of the
population and expected to be the double in the next 10 years, reaching basically everyone in the world
in the next 15 years. This phenomenon has created many doubts among the people and the
governments. What is intended to do in this paper is to explain the exponentially growing importance of
the internet in the development of the world, with the following questions:

The Internet has revolutionized the computer and communications world like nothing before. The
invention of the telegraph, telephone, radio, and computer set the stage for this unprecedented
integration of capabilities.

"Music is like candy for your ears." A quote often used by musicians and music lovers. Music has
been around as about as long as humans themselves have been around. Many have not noticed but
music is all around in everyday life. From walking into a store, driving a car, going in an elevator, going
for a run, watching a movie and even answering phone calls, music plays a big role in society. Everyone
is different and has their own preference, and with music, there are a variety of options to choose from.
An example of this would be observing people from different cultures and ethnicities, and seeing that
more than likely they might not all listen to the same music. Today, a recent issue has arisen that is not
often discussed but can greatly affect society in the near future. That issue has been the cutting of funds
and in some cases, completely shutting down music education programs in public schools. This
literature review will answer this issue by using the following questions:
what is the size and importance of the internet (web)?
what is the political impact of the internet arround the globe?
what is the economical impact of the internet and IT technologies arround the world?
should it be free of government influences and regulations?

What is the

Music is always around in every society, and this one is no exception. It has been around as long as
humans have been around. In our present day, some schools are limiting funding, while others are
completely cutting off music education programs around the country. This literature review will inform
of this issue and provide possible solutions to this issue. It provides opposing views on the issue of
cutting funds, and to continue funding using primary and secondary research.

Since the mid-1990s, the Internet has had a revolutionary impact on culture and commerce, including
the rise of near-instant communication by electronic mail, instant messaging, Voice over Internet
Protocol (VoIP) "phone calls", two-way interactive video calls, and the World Wide Web with its
discussion forums, blogs, social networking, and online shopping sites. The research and education
community continues to develop and use advanced networks such as NSF's very high speed Backbone
Network Service (vBNS), Internet2, and National LambdaRail. Increasing amounts of data are
transmitted at higher and higher speeds over fiber optic networks operating at 1-Gbit/s, 10-Gbit/s, or
more. The Internet's takeover over the global communication landscape was almost instant in historical
terms: it only communicated 1% of the information flowing through two-way telecommunications
networks in the year 1993, already 51% by 2000, and more than 97% of the telecommunicated
information by 2007.
