Fixed Income Category for Funds Under $250 million Assets Under Management. Also in 2011 Alsis was recognized by
BarclayHedge with the award for Top Emerging Markets Latin America Hedge Fund of the Year. In 2010 and 2009 Alsis received
the recognition of being one of the Top 10 Funds in the Emerging Markets category by BraclayHedge. Alsis Funds is an
investment management company that seeks to deliver equity-like returns with a fixed income risk profile through direct private

Spearheaded Standard New York entry into Latin American structured finance market, creating $4B pipeline. Firm wanted
to establish strong ABS/structured finance presence in Latin America. Conducted thorough analysis of banks presence and
credentials in region. Targeted property and hospitality sectors, focusing on high-end commercial, residential and mixed-use
opportunities. Responsible for origination, structuring and execution, marketing and syndication of LatAm ABS and Structured
Finance deals. Led team that originated second ever CMBS deal in Mexico, beating Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. Added
three additional deals totaling USD $500M worth of financing in the following 12 months.
Led Deutsche Bank penetration and dominance of niche Mexican capital market. Bank sought to become one of top foreign
banks in Mexico. Responsible for origination, structuring and execution, marketing and syndication of Mexican and LatAm
Structured Finance and Infrastructure deals. After thorough analysis of nascent debt capital markets, focused on housing finance
and Infrastructure sectors. Educated and marketed to mortgage origination companies, touting bank credentials and new asset-
based financial products. Led market penetration with first of its kind construction risk finance transactions. Responsible for
vertical integration from Origination of mortgages, securitization and trading of RMBS. Became first foreign bank to be named
RMBS market maker by SHF (second largest housing agency in Mexico).
Structured first LatAm Catastrophic Risk securitization transaction, covering Mexico's earthquake risk for 3-yr period.
Mexican Federal Government (UMS) faced declining natural disaster relief fund reserves and increasing premiums from
traditional reinsurance channels. Teamed with Swiss Re to execute first Latin America Catastrophic Risk Bond issued by a
Sovereign. Provided UMS with multi-period peril coverage at less than market rate, while locking insurance rate for three-year
period, limiting its credit risk exposure and increasing its profile in international DCM arena as sophisticated risk manager. The
transaction received mention on the cover page of the Wall Street Journal.
Expanded and managed Deutsche Bank structured finance offerings, boosting revenues in Mexican market. Local and
foreign banks had entered the housing finance market, increasing competition and putting pressure on revenue generation.
Obtained institutional support from senior regional management to vertically integrate origination and secondary market deal-
placement functions. Served as key member of global team that sourced and acquired local mortgage originator. Set up and
managed USD $20M trading desk for Mexican RMBS paper, generating net annual ROI of more than 20% for positions managed.
