Islam and Christianity: whats the difference?

An American journalist is beheaded, and the video of that act is proudly

posted for the world to see. Hundreds of Christians are taken captive in their
village and given a choice: convert to Islam or die. Those who stand for Christ
are crucified or beheaded, including some children.
The news reports of these horrific acts by Islamic terrorists in the Middle
East, in Nigeria and elsewhere have awakened many to this fact: we are involved in a war, and this war is different from any other major war in history.
Heres why
In the Middle East, where the Islamic terrorists have power, its open warfare
featuring unrestrained brutality on a massive scale.
In the West, where Islam is not yet a major presence, the enemy is not easily
identified. He looks like us, he dresses like us. He could be sitting in the restaurant at the next table, or across the aisle from us on the plane, awaiting the opportune moment when he will set off his explosives and blast us all - men,
women and children together into eternity.
After the 9/11 attack on the U.S.A in 2000, by 19 terrorists, when nearly
3,000 American citizens were killed, one well-known TV newscaster exclaimed,
Our world has changed forever! She was right! Since 9/11, strict security
checks are commonplace at airports, public buildings, sports stadiums and, in
fact, at just about any and every venue where people congregate.
Stubborn Political Correctness
Some of our politicians, valiant for political correctness, are stating that
the ISIS terrorists are not Islamist; one actually stated; They are guilty of profaning a good religion. The U.S. President, who frequently shows favor to
Muslims, actually said recently in two separate speeches - one to the nation
and the other to the United Nations: Islam teaches peace.

That doesnt line up with the statements from the Muslim holy book, the
Quran. Heres a sampling:
O ye who believe, fight the unbeliever. Surah (chapter) 9:14
Therefore when ye meet the unbelievers, smite at their necks
Surah 47:4 (A reference to beheading infidels)
But we all worship the same God!
Lets try to get along with the Muslim moderates.
No doubt, this is said from a sincere desire to prevent bigotry toward Muslims
who have not hurt anyone, and dont ever intend to do so, and to gain common ground between non-violent people everywhere. But does blind political
correctness miss the stated goals of Islam itself?
We need to understand the bottom-line purpose of true Islam.
For Islam, the world is divided into two houses:
1. The House of Peace. Thats all Muslims.
2. The House of War. Thats all other peoples.
Their stated goal is to bring the whole world into the House of Peace, that is,
under submission to Islamic law. This must be done, either by peace or by war.
In countries where Islam is not strong, they will speak peace, they will come
over as moderates. When they feel that they are in a position of strength, violence and indiscriminate force will be used to achieve the goal. Remember,
Islam means submission, like it or not! Peace-loving Muslims can only be
peaceful if they renounce this entire part of their religion, not just view it
moderately.
But we all worship the same God!
This is the cry we often hear from well-meaning but misguided people,
who are ignorant of the teachings of Islam. The following comparisons between

the teaching from the Quran and those of the Bible will knock that statement
on the head!
The Quran:
Denounces the teachings of the Trinity, and the Divine Sonship of Jesus.
Surah 4:17 Say not Trinity, desist! It will be better for you. For God is one
God. Far exalted is He above having a son.
The Bible:
Concerning the Sonship of Jesus
1 John 2:22,23 ~ He is anti-christ who denies the Father and the Son.
Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either
Jesus claimed equality with the Father.
John 5:22,23 ~ The Father has committed all judgment to the Son, that all
should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the
Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
According to the Bible, God has a Son. According to the Quran, God has no
Son. According to the Bible, that belief is identified as being anti -Christ! So,
do Christians and Muslims worship the same God?
Concerning the Trinity
Matthew 28;19 ~ Baptize them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit,
The Father is God.
1 Corinthians 1:2 ~ Grace to you and peace from God our Father.
The Son is God.
John 20:28 ~ Thomas said to Him,My Lord and my God !
Jesus accepted worship.
Matthew 28:17 ~ When they saw Him they worshiped Him;
The Holy Spirit is God.

Acts 5:3,4 ~ Why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit? You have
not lied to men, but to God.
The Apostolic Benediction: 2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus, and the love of God, and the communion of the
Holy Spirit be with you all.
It should be clear then, from studying these comparisons between the Bible
and the Quran, that Christians and Muslims do not worship the same God.
And theres more!
Islam rejects the crucifixion of Christ.
They killed Him not, nor crucified Him, but so it was made to appear to
them Quran 4:157-8
Some branches of Islam teach that Judas was crucified in the Lords place while
Jesus stood in the crowd and laughed.
Christianity is founded on the death of Christ by crucifixion. Thats how
our sins were atoned for.
Romans 5:6 ~ For when we were still without strength, Christ died for the
ungodly.
Romans 5:8 ~ God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Corinthians 2:2 ~ I was determined to know nothing among you, save Jesus
Christ and Him crucified.
Secular historians wrote about the crucifixion of Christ

Furthermore,secular historians wrote of the Crucifixion of our Lord. Josephus, a Jewish historian who defected to the Roman Army in the first Century, wrote in his Antiquities of the Jews:

There was in those days, Jesus, acertain wise man a doer of wonderful works
He was Christ Pilate decreed that Heshould be crucified He appeared unto
them the third day after His death, alive, as the Divinely inspired prophets had foretold. The famous name of Christians, taken from Him, as well as their sect, do continue in being.

In A.D. 850 Johan Malela quotes Josephus: From the time the Jews crucified Christ,
who was a good and righteous Man the land of Judea wasnever free from
trouble.

Writing in A.D. 1060, a man named Cedrinus wroteof Christ whom Pilate had crucified

Our Lords crucifixion is celebrated in heaven.

Revelation 5:9 tells us that great company of worshipers sing to Him:

You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, for You were slain and
have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Verse 12 acclaims, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!
The apostle Peter preached to the crowds on the Day of Pentecost, You
have taken (Him) by lawless hands (you) crucified Him, Whom God raised
up because it was not possible that He should be held by death.
Not possible for Him to stay dead? Why? because the wages of sin is
death! But Christ had no sin - He was dying for your sins and mine. His resurrection then, proves that He has paid the debt you and I incurred by our sin.
Without His crucifixion, we would still have to pay for our own sins - and thats
not a nice prospect!

The Crucifixionof Jesus Christ is central tothe Christian faith. This is

why

Christians are commanded to hold communion regularly to remember

His death.
1 Corinthians 11:26 ~ As often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you
proclaim the Lords death until He comes.
This is why the Cross is the central symbol of the Christian faith.
It is also why people - Muslims and others opposed to Christ - remove crosses
from public places and often burn them; they are motivated by the spirit of
anti-Christ.

The End of the Matter

Where is our crazy world headed? How will it all end?
Islam teaches that Jesus, the Muslim prophet, will return to lead the Muslim
armies, to abolish Christianity and to slaughter the Jews.
That Jesus is another Jesus not our Lord and Savior!
Revelation 19 describes the end of the matter - the end of this present
age. There we read of the True Savior, the true Jesus; He Who is the Word of
God, the Lord of life.
Revelation 19:11Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And

He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He
judges and makes war. 14And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen,
white and clean,[f] followed Him on white horses. 16And He has on His robe
and on His thigh a name written:

KING OF KINGS AND

LORD OF LORDS.
19And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
20Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked
signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the
beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the
lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Isaiah 9:7
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
This is the end of the matter - Jesus shall reign! In the words of the old hymn:
Jesus shall reign where-eer the sun
Doth its successive journeys run.
His kingdom stretch from shore to shore,
Till moons shall wax and wane no more.

This, is the End of the matter!

In closing
With all that has been said to show that Islam is a false religion, we must get
one thing straight!
Christians do not hate Muslims, as people. They are not our enemies.

Remember:
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believed in Him would not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16.
All people are included in this great declaration by the words, the world, and
the word, whoever!
Muslims, therefore - be they neighbors or workplace colleagues, must see the
love of Jesus in us, and hear the Gospel of salvation from our mouths, so that
they too can come to salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Whoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.
