With the burgeoning of Internet today, it is easy for people to realize the existence of

computer technology in most of the fields all over the world especially education, society
and business. Foreign students can attend online courses which organized in a 5000
miles far away country,some rare illnesses could be reduced due to the machine
development; the customers will have a better and quicker service through Internet. It is
certain that the advances in computer technology will bring a huge range of advantages;
however, it is clear that a great deal of disadvantages will appear due to these effects.
In this essay, I will consider both sides of this topic and give some personal predictions
about how wide areas such as education, business and society will be in the future.

Education
Online learning seems to change the global education system. According to Wentzell
(2002) price, flexibility and the ability to track the progress are among the benefits of
online learning. Teachers can optimize the timeliness and concentrate of the curriculum,
students can better fit learning time into their schedules. By removing the distance
requirement, everyone involved may participate at a time, and for a duration, that suits
his or her timetables.Besides, when compare with traditional methods, e-learning can
prove to be more effective with multimedia, user experience and clever design.
Carliner (2008) statethat e-learning is not only helpful for schools or universities, but
also extremely popular for big corporations or retail chains due to the fact that this type
of learning saves a great deal of training cost.It is clear that e-learning help people to
reduce a large number of costs such as traveling cost, living cost (with foreign
students), materials cost, training cost. For example, much of global companies
mightsave a large amount of training cost due to the fact that they establish a training
software system in every subsidiary. Even though online learning brings a wide range of
benefit, it still has several weaknesses.
There has been argued by Salmon (2013) that personalization is both advantage and
disadvantage of online learning. Students tend to lack some soft skills such as speaking
skill, presentation skill, team-work skillbecause of the fact that they are deficient in
interplay with their teachers and their colleagues. Moreover, the lesson quality may

decrease due to factors like: internet connection, machine modernity. For instance, the
slow wireless line connection possibly leads to the cancelling of the class. In some
case, documents or importance files might disappear due to virus from unsafely
websites.
In my opinion, online learning is becoming a household name all over the world,
therefore directly effects such as internet security, interaction between teachers and
learners need to be managed in a strict way in order to make a more successful
learning channel.

Business
The incredible developing speed of ecommercecan prove a fact that nowadays the
customers have a tendency to stay at home and buy goods through online channels.
This graph below will point out the development of one of the most popular online
shopping websites, Amazon.

From figure 1, it show that Amazon Sales increase consistently during 5 years from
2007 to 2012. Additionally, the number of 2012 was 3 times of 2007. Clearly, Amazon
is a typical example for power of Internet in business.
The best part about Internet shopping is the convenience it brings to the person
shopping.Richa (2013) underlines that instead visiting a few supermarkets, malls or
shopping centers for comparing, the customers, with just one click, will be provided a list
of all items with the lowest price.Besides, unlimited variety is one of the most prevalent
reasons for choosingthis type of shopping (Evelyn, 2012). Buyers tend to compare
products which are same typebut are different about brand, price, and color due to their
dissimilar requirements. Once they text the keyword, the website will immediately
supply million of results which help buyers feel comfortable to consider which one is
suitable for them.However, there are some feeblenesses that make online shopping is
still not quite convincing.
The disclosure of private information might be the most concerned problem (Holl, 2013).
Whenever the customer makes a payment for their order, they confront with some risk
about credit card details. Buyers have a tendency to not contemplate who will
responsible for their private information leads to the fact that in some case, some
hackers will gain access to computer systems and use these data for illicit ends. Not
only that, not all overviews about the product always accurate.Much of companies
ignore fact due to the fact that they want to achieve a high profit. So, they put large
amount misleading information for advertisement. This trend will certainly affect the
customer decision in a negative way. Furthermore, many brands such as ASOS do not
have any store, which means they do not need any staff for offline sales. This kind of
benefit tends to imply the increasing of unemployment situation.
In the future, with a modern busy life, people will tend to handle everything through
smart phones, ipads, laptops, companies most probably have the websites for sales
promotion, and banks will provide huge convenience of payment. All elements like that
will lead to a giant growth of online shopping.

Society
The final and the biggest effect I want to consider is social-networking impaction to
communication. It is uncontradictable fact that with the broadenation of technology,
social-networking websites are raising withtremendous speed. Violino(2008) outlines
thatGeographic distance or economic concern are not obstacles anymore if people want
to communicate. With sites such as Facebook, Lines, Instagram, users not only be
comfortable to connect but they also be able to interact with others due to the fact that
they can exchange their own ideas and views. Moreover, social networking site is one
of the best place to develop the business. These network allow individuals to establish
advertising project, search for jobs, find the donors for an event. For instance, if a
famous singer post a status on his or her own official Facebook to inform about new
CD, it will probably be attracted with the donors who are desiring to broadcast their
product. More than that, these network channels play a great part in disseminating
news, popular trends or social campaign. Anspecific example is that people all over the
world these days are tending to excited about a project called ALS Ice Bucket
Challenge which raises funds for charity. A large number of celebrations such as Bill
Gates, Barack Obama, David Beckham, Mark Zuckerberg join this trend and after that
they put the videos about their challenge accepting on Facebook, Twitter. These videos
shared and retweeted with dizzy speed, therefore this project is obviously becoming
well-received.
Although social networking have many advantages, it also have multi drawbacks. The
problems about the secure mode in social networking sites have been debated widely.
Much of Facebook users complain that they usually face with hacking situation which
make their account disappear. This trouble is often associated with dangers about
personal information security. Besides, many students have tendencies to lack the real
life skill and face with psychological disorders because they spend big amount of time
for social networking websites (Rosen, 2013).Not only that, nearly all large companies
recently organize web meetings and virtual event at almost occasionally. It is likely that
this trend will decrease the quality of the meeting , for instance if the web meeting

happen for long time, participations probably feel hard to pay attention due to the fact
that they have to face to screen instead with their colleges or their owners.
Undoubtedly, social networking will become widespread role and continues to
improve. With many alterations in long lasted period, it is expected to strong influences
of computer in the future in any aspects of society issues. People around the world will
become closer that they do not need to think about distance. In particular, domestic
issues may get concern by oversea organizations and governments. People from many
different communication find easier to interact with each others, that results in solutions
to deal with acute problems including racism, gender discrimination, war, homophobia
and so on. In other words, it can be said that computer development will occupy vital
role to change global society by positive way.

To summarize, computer technology affects almost all fields of our life. Human
existence will gain many benefits from consistently development of information
technology including cheaper budget, shorter time, easy to interact and instant
updating. As a result, areas such as education, business and society will be developed
along with computer era.

However, it is predicted many downsides to growth of

computer in terms of culture fade to countries, offensive information to young generation

as well internet financial discrimination. The challenging require tighter security with
particular regulation for online control. Finally, it will be very essential to people to have
strong knowledge about computer to find benefits, but still can avoid potential risk from
this unchangeable technology.
