Recommendations

Determine if the college requires a letter of


recommendation:

How many and by whom?


If a student does not meet minimum requirements for
admission they also may need recommendations

Complete the Letter of Recommendation Info section


and resume in Family Connection (Family Comments
are welcome too)
Talk to your recommenders ahead of time
Submit your letter of recommendation request to the
College Counseling Office at least four weeks in
advance of the earliest deadline

Review and Finalize Plans

Unless a student applies early, admission


offers from the colleges usually arrive in
March or April.
Financial aid award letters should also be
arriving around the same time.
Once families have complete information,
they can make the best decision and
respond to the college by May 1.
