base de datos de la Biblioteca del INGEMMET con especial nfasis en publicaciones
referidas a Per y a la Regin Andina. Se incluye tambin otros recursos de informacin
de inters para el desarrollo de la investigacin geocientfica.

Plataformas Gratuitas para el Intercambio Acadmico y Cientfico (2)
En el contexto de la web social la investigacin cientfica y el proceso de la
comunicacin cientfica han cambiado en los ltimos tiempos. Las redes sociales
acadmicas en Internet ganan cada vez mayor popularidad y visibilidad. Aqu les
presentamos las ms destacables por su tamao y especializacin:

Academia.edu es la Red de acadmicos de mayor tamao

en el mundo. Su funcionamiento y diseo es similar
a
facebook, con el valor aadido que posibilita a los
participantes compartir sus artculos, analizar estadsticas sobre
el nmero de vistas y descargas a la vez que encontrar a otras personas con un perfil
similar. Adems, incluye una seccin de empleos que anuncia las convocatorias de
puestos acadmicos en universidades de todo el mundo.

ResearchGate es una potente red con objetivos y caractersticas

similares a Academia.edu pero distinguindose por la solidez de
sus herramientas de bsqueda semntica y su desarrollo de tres
mdulos para el usuario: Uno para publicaciones, donde el usuario puede promocionar
su produccin cientfica; uno de empleos, donde el usuario recibe notificaciones sobre
empleos interesantes; y un tercero sobre preguntas, en un ambiente serio y altamente
especializado, con respuestas interesantes y de buena calidad.
Si buscar compartir y visibilizar tus investigaciones, estas redes son una buena opcin.
