Teacher

: Good morning, student.

Student

: Good morning, Miss.

Teacher

: Nice to meet all of you in healthy conditions. Well, before we start our
lesson today, let us pray together. Pray began. (Students and teachers pray
together). Pray its over. Okay student, now at the first I will continue to
checking your absent. Anyone absent today?

Student

: No, Miss.

Teacher

: Right. Today we will learn a new chapter is about the refraction. The
purpose of todays lesson is that you know about refraction and you can
explain the definition about that, and then knowing the implication of
refraction in daily life. But before we start this lesson, are you guys ready
for the lesson today?

Student

: Yes, Miss

Teacher

: Thats great, it means youve learned to this meeting. Before we learn


more deeply about refraction, lets us doing the demonstrasion. Who can
help me doing this demonstration in front of the class?

Student

: Student raise his hand.

Teacher

: Yes, please. Now, put the water into the glass. Then put the pencil into
the glass that fill of water. Whats going on?

Student

: Im, Miss. The pencil is bent.

Teacher

: Good. Who can complete your friends answer?

Student

: The pencil is not bent, but because the glass that made of mirror, so we
look the pencil as like deflected.

Teacher

: Perfect. Okay guys, this is a phenomenon of refraction. To understand


more deeply about refraction, lets we see an animation that I have been
prepared.

Student

: Students are watched the animation.

Teacher

: Teacher give an explaination about that animation. There is an


animation about the refraction. Now, I want to ask you again. What is the
refraction?

Student

: Refraction occurs when I dipping a pencil into a glass cup that


containing water and then pencil looks as though bent.

Teacher

: That a good answer. Its a one of implication of refraction in your daily


life. Is there another opinion guys? Hang up your hand!

Student

: Light travels at a constant speed, then when it encounters another


medium with a different optical density and the speed of light changes. So
the refraction is occured.

Teacher

: Excellent. Ok, its about your comment of refraction. Now, lets see in
the slide. In figure demonstration, there are two medium, such as the air
and the water.

: Student raise his hand. But, why the refracted light become to like that,
Miss?

Teacher

: Its good question. Okay guys, to understand about that, lets us look at
the slide. I will analogy the light coming is like a car that have four wheel,
red and blue wheel. We look the red wheel was reached the mud firstly, so
the speed of red wheel when its through in the mud is smaller than blue
wheel. Then, the car will be deflected to the left or approaching the
normal line.

Student

: I still trouble, Miss. Why the velocity between two medium become like
that?

Teacher

: Its a good question. I will give you an analogy again.

If the human travelled like the figure above. At the first human travelled
into empty space with its velocity v1. Then, second the human through the
room that full of people with velocity v2. The velocity of human in empty
space is greather than the velocity of human in the room that full of
people. Its caused the human must go through many people in the space II
so its speed is smaller than when passing through in empty space.
Understand about that, guys?
Student

: Yes, Miss.

Teacher

: Now, who can draw in front of the class, if the light travelled from tight
medium into tightless medium? Please, hang up your hand?

Student

: Student raise her hand.

: Okay guys, its your friend figures about the light travelled from tight
medium into tightless medium. Now, who can explain your friend figure?

Student

: Im, Miss. I think the light will be deflected stay away from normal
line.

Teacher

: Perfect. Anybody not clearly about that?

Student

: (Student was silent).

Teacher

: Okay, guys. You was silent and I think your clearly about that. Now,
who can conclude our lesson today? Hang up your hand!

Student

: Im, Miss. Refraction is the bending of light as it passes from one


medium to another. Refracted light should be refract approaching the
normal line if the light through the tightless medium like an air into the
tight medium like an water, viceversa refracted light should be refract stay
away from the normal line if the light through the tight medium like a
water into the tightless medium like an air.

Teacher

: Good job. I will give your chocolate because your conclussion is


perfect. Guys, I think enough for today. Now, please closed this meeting
with pray together. Pray its begin. Pray its over. Okay guys, enjoy your
resting!
