thus he purchased 53 shares.

many stocks did he deal?

He invested : 95.5+1.5=97 and got :100.75-1.5

4% on 120 = 3.33%,
5% on 130 = 3.85
find the difference from 3.6
it is : .27 and .25

Dividend = (12*10 + 17.6*50) = 1000

Cost=4.8*100/120= 4
find difference of 4 from the 2 prices : 2.1 and
1.15 thus ratio of the two is : 1.15:2.1
quantity of 6.1 suger = 115/210 *126=69kg

 Milk and water are mixed in proportion of 7:3,
in another pot in 1:4, in what proportion should
the mixtures from the two pot be taken to form
a new mixture in the ratio : 3:2?

The ratio of milk is : 7/10 and 1/5 and desired

ratio is : 3/5
find the difference from 3/5 : 1/10 and 4/10
thus they will be mixed in the ratio of : 4:1
(reverse the ratios when you give final
solution).

In what proportion water must be
added to spirit to gain 20% by
selling the same at cost price?

Suppose you buy 100 kg spirit @ 1 per kg.

You pay Rs. 100. you sell and get 120. thus
you mix up 20 kg in the 100 kg spirit.
Thus the ratio of water to spirit is : 20:100 or
1:5 answer.

water. This is done 4 times, find the final
ratio of milk and water in the bottle?

2/3*2/3*2/3*2/3 = 16/81
thus the ratio of milk and water is 16:65
answer.

 39 rupees are distributed among 65
students each boy gets 80 paise and each
girl gets 30 paise, find the number of boys
and girls?

39/65= 60 paise
find the difference : 20 paise and 30 paise.
Thus the ratio is 3:2 or boys and girls are : 39
boys and 26 girls.
