The theme World changed can mean anything to its own term and it has inspired different media.
These ideas happened to be in films, animated, games or novels.
The figure 1 Barry discovers that the world has changed: his powers are no longer with him and
shocked his mother is alive, and his wife Iris married to someone else. This is one of inspiration from
its theme.
Ash (Bruce Campbell) got trapped himself in the medieval timeline and must figure a way to return
back to his time. Medieval looks interesting and has given biggest influence for games and films
industry
The technology in game industry continues its growth and expand, is to show personal qualities and
skills of the concept artists are capable of. In the game industry the employers are looking variety of
concepts not just one-piece, but be able to visually communicate design work and finalising the
concept
Game
Project Category
Aim?
The project will be focused on Level Design because it is visual and element that inspires the viewer
whether is used for gameplay, commercial or other type of organisation. Being a level designer is
laying out the blocks in the game development cycle. But there are two rules of being level designer
is having a theory of the background level and being creative of designing for that level.
It is really important to have obstacles throughout the objectives for helping the player to progress,
for e.g. player may need more ammos in order to kill the boss.
Sketch book layout top down map with few blocks and assets (include basic objectives and
obstacle)
Photoshop design the top down map with more visual communication and details
Autodesk model with few assets and compile them together.
Unreal Engine layout the models that have been created and design a level along with
other elements in the engine.
Project Overview
What is the summary of the project?
Looked over the brief criteria and the project goal, but with short time project it will not cover all the
aspect. Instead this project will be focused on one of the theme environment which is medieval for
the Level Design. It will be modelled with few different assets to make a village environment, and
player will be able to navigate through the map with basic objectives goals and encountering some
enemies.
Game Overview
Game
This game is where the player will explore five different world in each dimension to obtain the
crystals.
Like figure 1 Kingdom hearts has its own world system where the player can explore world and
unlock some path to get across. Comparable the game does have five different world, but each of
those world has its own timeline.
Gameplay Synopsis
The gameplay is more of a stealth where the player has to find crystal in each different world. The
outcome of the story can be changed depending players progress and reaction, for e.g. if the player
does not complete all quest can receive a bad ending or a good ending. There is no right or wrong
with the ending it all comes down to the user experience and time consuming.
