AIRPORT MEET & GREET

Upon arrival, be greeted in style at the exclusive W Airport Lounge,where a W Insider will guide the way to the start
of your electrifying adventure at W Retreat & Spa, Vieques Island hotel.

CAR RENTALS
We can assist you with a rental car, however, since overnight parking charges are so expensive at the hotel we do
not suggest you keep a car for your entire stay.

LUGGAGE
With airport anxieties and lots of families traveling this time of year we strongly recommend shipping your luggage
to the hotel. This will eliminate a lot of frustration and truly ease your travel experience. Often times shipping bags
is even cheaper than paying for airline baggage fees. The W will store your bags and have them delivered to
your room.

SHIPPING
If you are interested please ship your bags as follows:
Attach the special baggage tags or labels we will be sending you.
These will have your room number and other important details in order
to ensure prompt and proper delivery to your room.

Please clearly mark the total number of bags you are shipping

on each label (i.e., bag 1 of 4, 2 of 4, etc.)

ARRIVING AT THE W
On arrival our team and the W team will be on hand for a streamlined check-in process. In order to reduce checkin time, please fill out the attached forms and send them back to us to speed up your check in process.
Please note that check-in time is 4:00pm and check out time is 11:00am. Of course we will do everything to
have your room ready in time for your arrival. By sending us your flight information we will be able to best pre-allocate a room that will be ready by the time you arrive. However, we cannot guarantee this. If you would like to
guarantee that your room is ready on arrival, especially if you are arriving early, we suggest you pre-register your
room. You can do this by paying a discounted rate for the night before your arrival to ensure early access; rates
begin at $350 per room.

PERSONAL PREFERENCES

Our aim is to create a tailor made experience for each individual. The best way to do this is to get as
much information as we can about you. The more you share with us the more we can do for you. We
therefore encourage you to fill out the attached preference forms or help us fill it out for you during
our follow up call. We are especially interested to know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions
in order to anticipate your needs.
Were committed to tailoring your experience and especially your room to your preference. Whether
it is the type of pillow or if you want your electronics disengaged for the holidays we would be delighted to make it special. The more you tell us, the more we can do to anticipate your needs. Thus,
please take time to fill out as many details as you can about your needs and desires.

SEDER & PRAYER

We will be offering an option for guests to pray with an Ashkenaz or a Sephardic minyan. In addition we will have an early Hashkama minyan daily at
7:00am.
We will also have a group Ashkenaz seder and a joint Sephardic Seder.
Please let us know which minyan and seder you prefer to attend.

SEDER PREFERENCES
We know how important it is to have a wonderful family Seder experience and would like to help
orchestrate the perfect one for your family. We would be delighted to set up your Seder table
in the manner you prefer. Please fill out the attached detailed form and let us know if there is
anything else we can do to please everyone. Joint Seders will take place in the hotels ballrooms.
We have a host of private Seder options for a more intimate option.

CHILDRENS PRIZE PROGRAM

We all know Pesach is about our children but sometimes we
focus so much on getting through the Hagadah and the seuda
itself that we relegate child engagement to the Ma Nishtana
and Afikomen. In an effort to get your children more involved
and excited we have developed a fabulous optional program.
We will provide you with a list of age appropriate
questions (and answers) to ask your family during the Seder. We
will also give you Monopoly-style dollars to give each child as
they answer questions correctly. After the 2 nights each child
can use their dollars towards the purchase of a full stock of
prizes. You can choose to have your own private store of prizes for your family or let them come to our general store. Well
have prizes available for children age 2 12. We suggest you
purchase $50 worth of Seder Dollars per child which will cost
you US$25.

PRIVATE SEDERS
For a more intimate Seder experience you may elect to have a private Seder with your family in a
private dining room. If you would like a private dining room and dont already have one confirmed
please contact Jon Arbisfeld at 212-335-0828.

PLATING: Our standard Seder service is a la cart where guests can order off of a

premium menu for dinner. Alternatively, we can arrange to serve your family as follows:
Family Style we will serve individual appetizers and soup and put a selection of

all entrees in the center of your family table just like home.
Buffet - we will serve individual appetizers and soup and put a selection of all

entrees on a buffet table in your private dining room.

OTHER PREFERENCES: If you have any other preferences whether it is the type of

haggadah or the vintage of wine, please let us know.

SWING TENNIS COURTS

Game, set, match! SWING tennis courts are located near the main driveway and exclusively available to hotel
guests at no charge and without age restriction. Racquets and tennis balls are available for complimentary check
out at Black Beard Sports (adjacent to FIT). Please contact Whatever/Whenever for reservations, for up to two
hours of court time per session.
Courts are open daily through Sunset.
BLACK BEARD SPORTS
Black Beard Sports is Vieques premier sports outfitter, adventure guide and Vieques only PADI dive center. They
offer a wide variety of outdoor gear for rent as well as various tours. Visit their outlet, located next to FIT, to plan
hiking or biking tours, kayaking outings or scuba dives! Their team of island activity experts will help you plan your
ultimate outdoor adventure.

COMPLIMENTARY EQUIPMENT
Stop by Black Beard Sports (located next to FIT) to sign out the following gear:
Snorkeling we have fins, snorkels, and mask sets in all sizes for adults and children. Are you afraid to wear your
contacts swimming? We have masks with prescription lenses!
Kayaking - either single or tandem kayaks are available. Come sign out paddles and vests. The kayaks are waiting for you on W Beach.
SWING Tennis Courts we have the rackets and balls. The only thing missing from the courts is you!
FIT Fitness Center - In our 2,000 square feet, state-of-the-art, fully-equipped FIT Fitness Center, buff that body
as you stretch high and energize. Get an adrenaline rush any hour of the day when you tone up and trim down
with 24-hour access.
EQUIPMENT RENTALS
The following equipment is available for rent at Black Beard Sports (adjacent to FIT) for all of your island adventures.
Beach Accessories We have an assortment of beach umbrellas, chairs, & coolers to take to your own slice of
paradise.
Mountain Bikes We have a variety of bike sizes, including child seats and pull-behinds.
Kayaks - Take a Kayak tour outside the hotel either you can take them yourself or we can deliver them to your
favorite spot.

RETREAT ACTIVITIES
These activities are complimentary to W guests:
Sunrise Kayak Join us Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings on W Beach at 7:45am for a one hour kayak tour (unless
otherwise posted). If conditions are not favorable for paddling, well either go on a hike or bike ride for the same duration.
Yoga Meet us at FIT Fitness Center each morning at 8am. We provide training for your mind, body, and breath. Private
yoga sessions available through AWAY Spa, featuring Detox Yoga, Art of Meditation, and Introduction to Breath.
Pool Activities for Kids and Adults
Saturdays at 10AM at WET with a 24 hour advance notice by calling Black Beard Sports at ext. 1654.

KAYAK TOUR
What better way to experience a Caribbean island than by exploring the diversity of its shorelines. Paddle on crystal
clear waters between pure white sand beachesand enchanted mangrove lagoons. Contact Black Beard Sports to
arrange your kayaking nature excursion.
Puerto Ferro - $75pp
This is an easy going paddle that incorporates a visit to the 110
year old lighthouse ruins. It then continues into the bay and
through the diverse wildlife of a mangrove forest.
Kiani Lagoon - $75pp
Explore the mangrove habitat on a very easy paddle through
calm water that takes you into a natural sanctuary for birds and
fish, with palm trees and mountains as your backdrop. Especially
relaxing during sunrise! (4 hours total time)
MOUTAIN BIKE TOURS
Anyone who can ride a bike is eligible to participate in a mountain bike tour. The tours offered range from beginner to
advanced skill levels. Each tour is designed with rider ability and comfort in mind. We provide the bike, helmets, drinking
water, and the guide who will show you the most unique parts of Vieques.
Mosquito Pier - $50
This is a ride the entire family can enjoy. From The W we ride to
Mosquito Pier and see the 400 year old Ceiba tree along the way. This tour can also incorporate entry level snorkeling
along the pier. (8 miles, 2 hours)
West End - $75
Either we peddle directly from The W or shuttle over and start at the famous Ceiba tree, continuing to the scenic Mosquito Pier, see some of the old military munitions bunkers, and have a look around the historical sugar mill ruins of Playa
Grande. (17-22 miles, 4 hours)
Beach Excursion - $75
The Beach Excursion tour is an excellent way to see all the beaches available on the eastern National Wildlife Refuge.
The terrain is half paved, half gravel road, and mostly flat with rolling hills. (15 miles, 4 hours)
The Complete Island - $110
This is the most comprehensive bike tour of the island and requires a higher level of physical fitness. Although this is a
moderately paced ride over moderate terrain, the Caribbean sun and humidity are the biggest concern. This ride incorporates a loop around the island to include the eastern Wildlife Refuge, western Wildlife Refuge, and everywhere in
between. (35 miles, 5-6 hours)
Add snorkeling to any ride for $25/person. Use our gear or bring your own.

Caribbean provides excellent dive conditions year-round. Weve established both surf and boat dives on either
side of the island, allowing us to choose the ideal dive location at moments notice.

SNORKELING TOURS
All levels are available, from beaches to offshore reefs. Trips can be arranged from our dive boat, kayaks, or
launched right from shore. We provide all equipment needed to see Vieques most spectacular wildlife.
Blue Beach - $65
Great entry level trip that builds snorkeling skills and takes you to an active reef right from the beach. (easy to
moderate, 3 hours)
Green Beach - $65
Tour to the western most tip of the island, where the beach sand is pink and the water is calm and clear. (easy to
moderate, 3 hours)
Pirates Point - $65
Experienced snorkelers will explore amateur reef with great texture and an abundance of coral life. (moderate to
skilled, 3 hours)
OPENWATER SNORKELING BY KAYAK
A complete island adventure, kayaking to an open water reef is where youll find the most pristine sea life rarely
seen by visitors.
Ensenada Honda - $100
45 minute paddle to a large open water reef, great coral and fish, depart from and return to the incredible Orchid
Beach. (5 hours total time)
Lighthouse Point - $85
Easy paddle to snorkeling spot, see the historical lighthouse, and through mangroves. (4 hours depart to return)
Cayo Blanco - $75
Depart from W Beach due north to the little island visible from the Retreat (about a 1 hour paddle). Land on the
sandy beach of your very own Island and enjoy snorkeling the surrounding reef. (approximately 4 hours)
HORSEBACK RIDING TOURS
Vieques is a true horse paradise, as Paso Fino horses roam free the island. One of the best ways to see Vieques
is on the back of a horse. There are two great tour operators available.

HIKKING
Keeping it simple and still getting to places on the island rarely seen by people. Vieques offers hikes
to breathtaking vistas and incredibly pristine beaches. Whether you want to see the historical ruins
buried deep in the tropical jungle or beaches not accessible by vehicle, our hikes take you to where
nature is in control.
Playa Grande Beach - $45
This coastline hike incorporates climbs over rocky outcroppings between multiple stretches of shell
filled sandy beaches. Rough surf typically prevents swimming, but small pools are good for frolicking or
a quick dip, and a constant ocean breeze are sure to keep you cool.
Playa Grande Ruins - $45
From the picturesque beach well trek to the historical sugarcane
plantation ruins deep into the tropical jungle. Dont worry, snakes
are extinct on Vieques!
