The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number


of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to
outstanding students from developing countries who
have no other means of financing their studies.
Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant : 50% loan
basis through a competitive application process once
a year in June or July. The Foundation gives priority
to requests for Master's level courses but is also
willing to consider applications for PhD programmes,

emerging economies by providing
outstanding university graduates and
young professionals with the opportunity to

University of Oxford and access to a
comprehensive programme of leadership
development, long-term mentoring and
networking.
The Norwegian government provides
students from developing countries in the
South and countries in the Western
Balkans, Eastern Europe and in Central
Asia with financial support to study for a
degree in Norway under the Quota
Scheme. Most universities and university
colleges in Norway participate in the Quota

The Scholarship's term is the period necessary to complete the


degree requirements in E-JUST, which should be within two years
for the MSc degree and three years for the PhD degree; The
scholarships' are mainly supported by the Ministry of Higher
Education of Egypt (MoHE) which are available for Teaching
Assistants and Research Assistants from Government Universities
and Research Institutions, based on transparent selection
procedure. Limited number of industry-sponsored scholarships is
available for outstanding applicants.
The Scholarship's support is dependent upon the student good
standing with the E-JUST graduate program in which he/she is
registered. An evaluation report should be sent yearly to the
sponsor reporting about the student's study level, including the
student transcript, academic advisor report, and the updated
student research situation.
Scholarships are full-time scholarships. This means that E-JUST
students are fully devoting to their study and research in E-JUST
and are not allowed to work elsewhere during their scholarships'
period.

Each Visiting Fellow is required to complete a


Brookings Doha Center analysis paper of 8,00012,000 words which concludes with policy
recommendations that fall within one of the three
main areas of the Center's work:

Visiting Fellows are drawn from mid-to-senior ranks of


governments, think tanks, universities, and media from the United
States, the Middle East, and elsewhere. Successful applicants
generally have a PhD, or broad governmental, civil society, or
professional experience, as well as fluency in English. In some
cases, fellows may retain their relationship with the Brookings
Doha Center in a nonresident capacity for up to one year from
their start date.

The UNESCO-LOral International Fellowships are
designed to identify and reward fifteen deserving,
committed and talented young women scientists,
from all over the world, active in the field of life
sciences. With a view to ensuring that a balanced
geographical representation is made, a maximum of
three young women, from each of the five geocultural regions of the world, will be awarded
fellowships.
Candidates must already be engaged in pursuing
research at the doctoral or post-doctoral level in one
or allied fields of life sciences including biology,
biochemistry, biotechnology, agriculture, medicine,
pharmacy and physiology.

1. The National Commission must endorse all applications.


UNESCO cannot entertain applications from individuals.
2. Candidates must be no more than 35 years old. Thus,
applicants born before 1 January 1977 will not be considered
under this programme.
3. Preference will be given to candidates already possessing at
the time of application a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in the field of
the life sciences. However, candidatures from students pursuing
studies/research leading to a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) will also
be entertained.
4. Only candidates with the necessary qualifications, who
demonstrate outstanding intellectual promise and personal
qualities, will be considered under this programme.
5. Candidates must be proficient in reading and writing the
language of instruction in the proposed country of study.
6. Applicants must be in good health, both physically and mentally.
7. Candidates may not be in receipt of another fellowship/grant for
the project or for the period covered by the fellowship application.
If the candidate receives another award, scholarship or fellowship
for the proposed research project, she should inform UNESCO
immediately to verify whether her application is still valid.
Age limits:

Two(2) scholarships for postgraduate studies or


research for a duration of ten (10) months each. In
case where a matter of renewing a scholarship rises, 25 years old for undergraduate studies
for students who are already scholarship holders,
40 years old for postgraduate studies, research or summer
these scholarships shall be counted in advance of the seminar
new ones, without exceeding the number of
scholarships for each year.

developed specifically for small clusters of fellows at
Namaa Summer School for Sustainable Development
is a 20 days (including weekends) scholarship offered
by Namaa Initiative, Konrad Adenaur Foundation and
the Center of Civilization Studies and Cultural
Dialogue.
During the program you go through though different
developmental schools of thoughts, followed by field
visits to relate your work to real life situations.
The participants acquire knowledge about different
sectors in Egypt: Economics Sector, Education,
Political, Environment and Media. Thus, they get
more acquainted with their society. Different
approaches to community development are then
presented, theories of reform, values of renaissance
and different skills required to develop a social
entrepreneur.
The learning process in Namaa summer school is an
interactive one built on interactive lectures,
workshops, case studies and field visits.
By the end of Namaa School, participants are asked
either to develop initiatives or participate in
internships in different initiatives and projects to
practice what they have learned.
