WHY BLUE PLANETS PATENTED NANO-BUBBLE OZONE INFUSER?

Ozone has a short half-life, losing its potency very quickly once introduced to water.
Since ozone degrades rapidly, increasing its contact time and surface area coverage will
enhance its ability to sterilize water. Through a patented nano-bubble technology, Blue
Planet can deliver a very small and stable bubble, providing dramatic results in a variety
of applications.
WHAT IS OZONE?

Ozone (O 3), also called trioxygen, is three atoms of oxygen. Ozone is a very unstable gas that degrades into breathable oxygen (O 2). Ozone is formed from oxygen in ambient air by putting the air
under ultraviolet light. This allows it to be produced onsite with no need for a gas storage container.

Ozone is a 50% stronger oxidizer and has a bacterial kill rate 10x faster than chlorine. It is
highly reactive with substances that come into contact with it. Ozone sterilizes by killing microorganisms, bacteria, parasites, mold and yeast in water sources because it damages organic mol-

ecules. It also degrades other contaminants in water such as urea, manganese, iron, arsenic, hydrogen
sulfide and nitrates. Ozone can also help flocculate particles.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING OZONE VS. CHLORINE?

Prevents the harsh odor or taste of chlorine since ozone dissipates quickly
Diminishes the potential of chlorine to damage plants
Eliminates the corrosive and destructive effects on fountains and other equipment from continued, long term use of chlorine
Eradicates residual buildup often experienced when using chemicals
Removes the potential for bleaching items
Saves money; ozone is produced on site and on demand eliminating transportation and
storage of hazardous chemicals
Environmentally friendly, chemical-free water
APPLICATIONS IN:
Water features in residential and commercial
settings
Irrigation, rainwater and potable water storage
tank sterilization and algae control
Swimming pool, hot tub and spa disinfection
Aquarium and aquaculture facilities

Ozone provides a chemical-free,

cost-effective, environmentally
friendly way to sterilize water.
Nano-bubble injection maximizes
contact time and surface area
between ozone and water, providing
very effective disinfection.

What are nano-bubbles?

Blue Planets aerators deliver stable small bubble

technology. A nano-bubble is a bubble that ranges in
diameter from 0.1 micrometers to 10.0 micrometers.
A micrometer is 1-millionth of a meter.

Why nano-bubbles?

Collapses

Rises
rapidly

Shrinks
Stable Migration

Ordinary bubble

Microbubble

The nano-bubbles do not immediately float to

the surface of the water, but instead remain within
the water body for many days. Nano-bubbles dissipate and diffuse evenly in a water body. The use of
micro-nano bubbles increases the volume and surface area of gases that can be present in a liquid
when compared to conventional aeration systems.

Nano-bubbles produce the largest

cumulative surface area possible to
maximize the ozone content in the water
