POSITION: Value Stream Leader (Supervisor)

REPORTS TO: Process Line Manager
Location: Sylvania Georgia Plant

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Value Stream Leader (Supervisor) has responsibility and accountability for managing all Key Process Indicators
for the value stream start to finish. The Value Stream Leader will be responsible for creating and implementing
current state value stream maps, future state value stream maps, value stream A-3s for improvement to the
business, monthly, weekly, and daily KPI documentation and communication. Activities will include daily quality and
productivity pitches at scrap market boards and ahead/behind productivity boards. The Value Stream Leader will
lead through lean events for the business which will include changeover, standard work, connections (component
scheduling and synchronization), 5S, and inventory reduction. The Value Stream Leader will report to the Process
Line Manager and have responsibility for leading process supervisors, quality resources, process engineers,
technicians, and team leaders within the value stream to achieve business KPIs and implement new products/new
processes through APQP.
This position is a key role in establishing pin and shaft manufacturing in Sylvania. Travel between Honea Path and
Sylvania will be required.
Deliverables:
Provide leadership for a specific value stream to enable business operations to meet or exceed targets for Key
Process Indicators:
Cost of Quality (scrap and appraisal)
On time Customer Delivery
Productivity (E/A, PPLH, Bekido, Chokko, & PPH at machine level)
Operating Expense
Lead Time
Inventory Days and Dollars
Visual management systems (kanban, scrap market, ahead/behind, etc.)

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
4 year degree in Management or Engineering with 4-6 years of experience,
2 year degree in Management or Engineering with 7-10 years of experience,
High School Diploma or GED with 8-10 years of experience.
Position Requirements:
Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean practices
Demonstrated abilities in problem solving and computer skills
Must be able to communicate clearly when confronting problems
Must have demonstrated leadership qualities, experience, and interpersonal skills
Must be willing to travel between the Honea Path and Sylvania until completion of product move
