Sunday Worship and Prayer at Woodmont

Morning Worship - 9:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.

Clay Stauffer, preaching
Sermon Title: "Being Thankful and Content"
Scripture: Psalm 100, Philippians 4:4-9

The Bridge, ReImagine Worship - 5:15 p.m. in Drowota Hall

Sermon Series - final week: "Tables"
Trey Flowers, preaching
Sermon Title: "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"
Scripture: Luke 14:12-24
As we wrap up the Tables series, it is fitting to ask the question "who is NOT at our
tables?" Jesus sits down and shares a meal with so many people, but he was always
concerned about those who didn't have a seat at the table. Looking at the Feeding of
the 5,000 and the Parable of the Great Banquet, we'll examine just who is missing
from our own worship feast each week.

The Elders of Woodmont Request You Join Them in Prayer:

Those charitable organizations within the Nashville community who are feeding the
hungry on Thanksgiving Day - they are all God's people sharing the gift of love (Matt
25:35)!
Our four Advent worship services as the church family prepares for the celebration of
Christmas! May God's presence fill our hearts during this holy season!
The Hanging of the Greens on Nov. 30 - a delightful and festive opening to the Advent
Season and the perfect opportunity for the Woodmont family to draw closer with each
other and our Lord!
The families receiving Angel Tree gifts joyfully given by Woodmont Christians - a
blessing for both the family and those who provided the gifts!

Room In The Inn

Extend the warmth of Woodmont to some of the homeless members of the Nashville
community. Some people are predicting a particularly cold winter so our help is
needed more than ever. We are grateful for the Woodmont family members who have
already volunteered or signed up. There are still many opportunities to serve. We
welcome the help of individuals, groups and families. Some Woodmont families join
together to host as it takes many hands to manage all of the responsibilities. Not sure
what's involved? No problem, we can connect you with some of our experienced
volunteers who will show you the ropes and we also provide you with detailed
guidelines. There's truly a place for anyone who has a heart for this ministry! To see
the open dates, please go to www.woodmontchristian.org, Missions & Outreach,
Room In the Inn and Sign Up. You can sign up online or contact Christine Reed at

About the Hearing Aid Loop in the Sanctuary - Available This Sunday the 23rd
What is it? A system which sends a signal to hearing aids for clearer sound,
especially making speech more intelligible.
How does it work? An antenna (Loop) surrounding the main floor pews sends an
"induction" signal to your hearing aids.
Will my aids work? Yes, if they have a telephone program. Unless they are
antiques, they will.
What do I do? Your aids will have either telephone circuit with a switch. Or, it
may work by digital program. To find out how yours works and if it needs to be
reprogrammed, check with your audiologist. Then, just sit in the pews on the
main floor, and turn them to the correct mode. And don't forget to switch them
back to normal as you leave, or your aids will impede normal conversation.
When do we start? If all goes as planned, this Sunday, November 23.
Whom do we thank? Ellen Dillon initiated interest in this and saw it through with
the Property Committee.
