Once upon a time, there was a little Austrian boy named Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The young boy was born in Salzburg, a beautiful place in Austria, on January 27, 1756.
Mozarts pet owl, Hedwig, and music were two of the most important things to him.
Mozart grew up and showed his amazing talent on composing music.
When he was only 8 years old, he created his first symphony.
The symphony was so good that he caught the attention of a very famous agent.
Mozart worked with the agent throughout many years and composed 41 symphonies!
Now that Mozart became more skilled, he went on a world tour, bringing along his owl, Hedwig
of course.
From town to town, Mozart performed his music and his shows were always sold out.
He was called the greatest composer of the time and inspired many and his fame was
skyrocketing.
During the middle of his world tour, his next show was in Vienna, Germany.
By the time he arrived in Vienna, Austria, Mozart was 31 years old.
During his time in Vienna, he brought all his instruments out, including a grand piano, and did a
small street performance which attracted quite a crowd.
A man then suddenly said, Youre not that good! We have another prodigy in our town!
Mozart became enraged and shouted, WHO! Who can possibly be better than me, the amazing
Mozart!!
The crowd made a path for a young teenage boy and the crowd whispers to each other, Its
Beethoven, psstpsst.
Beethoven speaks with a quiet voice and tells Beethoven, I dont want to argue but I heard you
play sir. It was really good and I want to hear your opinion on one of my symphonies.
Mozart moves aside so Beethoven can sit at the piano. He has a very mean look on his face.
Beethoven sits down at the piano and plays an extremely beautiful piece of music. When he is
finished, everyone clapped and cheered Beethoven.
Beethoven tells Mozart that This is my first symphony and I wrote it in dedication of my
teacher, Joseph Haydn.

One of the members of the crowd yells very loudly, Much better than that Mozart guys
music!!
Mozarts face gets red and shouts at Beethoven, That was terrible! I am the greatest composer
in the Classical Era! I am the origin of Western Music and you are just a phony!
Beethoven frowns while the crowd boos Mozart as he packs his stuff and leaves.
Back at Mozarts hotel, he mumbles to himself, That piece of music was amazing. I can tell the
boys symphony had flutes, oboes, clarinets, trumpets, strings and even bassoons! I cant believe
that was his first symphony. Why didnt I think of that? My first symphony only had oboes,
horns, and strings.
The frustrated Mozart lies on his bed when his phone rings. He picks up the phone and finds out
that it is his agent. Mozarts agent tells him, Mozart, I am going to drop you because I have
found an even better, more intelligent, composer. Goodbye
Mozart screams, NOOOOOOOOOO! It must be that Beethoven again!!
Meanwhile, the agent is asking Beethoven questions about his music and plans to send him on a
tour. Beethoven tells the agent, Well sir, I compose music that contain many instruments, from
flutes to oboes and because of this, I will need a huge orchestra to play my music to its full
potential!
The agent says, Thats doable. Now tell me young man, what kind of music is it?
Beethoven explains to the agent that, I can work with a lot of type of music such as piano
sonatas to violin sonatas.
The agent is surprised and tells him, Thats great! Now I know why everyone says youre the
best composer around. Now together we will make you 10 symphonies youll go on tour with
and with that, Ill become rich! Mwuahaha!
Beethoven then wonders what happened to Mozart and the agent tells him not to worry about it.
However, Beethoven is determined to find out, I only heard one of Mozarts pieces and it was
incredible. I want to hear more!
The agent responds, I dont know where he is. Stop asking! The agent leaves and Beethoven
walks out his house.
Back at Mozarts hotel room, he is mad and sad at the same time. Having nothing else to do, he
goes to his pet owl, Hedwig, and opens his cage because he wants to play with her. But then
suddenly, the owl flaps its white wings and flies out the open window! Hedwig was the only
thing Mozart had left so he ran outside and chased Hedwig through the streets!

While running, Mozart is telling, Hedwig! Hedwig come back! Dont leave me Hedwig!
Just as Hedwig is about to disappear out of Mozarts sight, he finds a boy who caught Hedwig in
his arms. Mozart catches up to Hedwig and sees that it is Beethoven that saved his owl.
Forgetting all the hate he has towards Beethoven, Mozart thanks him and tells him the truth
about his music, I think the piece you played for me was very good. I lied because I was angry
since I dont want anyone better than me in music! I guess that was very selfish of me huh.
Beethoven smiles and tells Mozart, I think your symphony was very good too! The piece you
have played really inspired me to compose more music! Suddenly, Mozart had a light bulb
moment. He tells Beethoven, Hey! How about you go on tour with me? We can perform our
music together! Beethoven happily says, Can I really do that? Thatd be great!!

And thus ends the story of two world famous composers. Little do they know that their music
will leave a mark on the world. After the tour, the two composers did everything together.
Although rivals at first, Mozart and Beethoven ended up being each others inspiration. Because
of a small accident regarding an owl, the two composers became best friends for life. The end.
