STEP 1: Start up

Define the analysis as a structural analysis

Main menu > Preference > Structural > ok

STEP 2: Preprocessor > Element Type

Select the element type as Solid 65 and link 180
Main menu > Preprocessor > Element type > Add/Edit/Delete
Select Solid Concrete 65, and Click apply.
Select link - 3D fin stn180, and click ok.

After getting this image click close now element types is succesfully added.

STEP 3: Preprocessor > Real Constants

Select the Real Constants
Main menu > Preprocessor > Real Constants > Add click
Show Type 1 Solid 65 in the dialog box, and click ok and again click okShow Set -1 in the
dialogbox

Show type 2 link 180 in the dialog box, and click ok and enter cross sectional area as 113.09 for
Set No 2

Show type 2 link 180 in the dialog box, and click ok and enter cross sectional area as 50.27 for Set
No 3

STEP 4: Material prop

Select the material properties for concrete
Material props > material model > structural > linear > elastic > isotropic
Enter EX and PRXY value.> ok

Non linear > inelastic > rate independent > isortopic hardening plastic > mises plasticity >
multilinear.

Add point to stress strain values and click ok

FOR STEEL , THE MATERIAL PROPERTIES

Material > new model

> structural > linear > elastic > isotropic

Enter EX and PRXY value.> ok

Non linear > inelastic > rate independent > isortopic hardening plastic > mises plasticity >
bilinear.

Enter the yield stress value and tangent modulus value and click ok.

STEP 5: Go to Main menu > Preprocessor > Modelling > Create > Nodes > In Active CS

Click In Active CS

Copy the node in y direction.

Modelling > copy > node > copy
Enter the number of copies and the offset distance.

copy the nodes in x direction.

Create the nodes and copy for the whole model

STEP 6: select > entities > nodes

STEP 7: create solid elements

Modelling > create > elements > element attributes
Set the element types number , material number and real constant set number and cick ok

Modelling > create > elements > auto numbered > thru nodes

STEP 8: COPY SOLID ELEMENT AND EXTEND

COPY THE SOLID ELEMENT AND EXTEND

STEP 11: create the solid elements in the junctions.

STEP 9: create link elements

Select > entities > nodes > plot > ok

Select the nodes where we want to create link elements.

Unselect the unwanted nodes

Modelling > create > elements > element attributes

Set the element types number , material number and real constant set number and cick ok.
Modelling > create > elements > auto numbered > thru nodes
